About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

SHAMBALA FIJI Property comes with Chef service, only extra cost are ingredients.

Located along the pristine Coral Coast of Fiji’s main island Viti Levu, Shambala (meaning ‘place of peace and tranquility’) is a large villa style home perfect for extended families or groups of friends.

WE OFFER IN-HOUSE CHEF OPTION Included in the price, the only extra charge is for the ingredients, the chef will design a meal direction based on your likes / dis-likes and alergies..

Shambala fiji is right on the water’s edge, where you have access to a gorgeous sandy beach with crystal clear sparkling waters – perfect for snorkeling among the fish and the coral, paddle-boarding or perhaps a slow kayak ride to see the neighbouring sights. This beach is great for children wanting to play in shallow waters or for adults who want an adventure.

Shambala fiji comprises 5 bedrooms (sleeps 12), 4 full bathrooms plus toilet, 1 main kitchen/dining/lounge/office, 1 laundry, plus 1 outdoor BBQ/Bar room with full amenities plus your very own private pool. All bedrooms have views of the ocean and private courtyards. There is an undercover carport by the front door if you choose to hire a vehicle. Shambala is serviced daily, including laundry. The house also comes with kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel gear and more. The house manager is on-call everyday and is never too far away if needed.

There are several delightfully quiet spots on the property where you can escape with a book, let the sound of the waves send you into your siesta, hide from the children, enjoy a hammock under the shade of a tree or lay on the sun lounges to get a dose of Vitamin D.

There is much to do in Fiji if you want to leave the comfort of your home away from home. Contact us if you would like information on activities available in the area or let us organise a golf-day at the world renowned Natadola Golf Course/Resort.

There’s great intermediate-advanced surf just 5 minutes down the road (Hideaway Resort), accessible by a 5 minute paddle out. Local advise can be offered by management at the time of your stay. This wave is best surfed 2 hours before high tide when winds are low; always a small friendly crowd there. Great, fun wave.

Family holiday
Beautiful setting and grounds. Staff are wonderful and nothing was too difficult. Andie was wonderful with the kids and very helpful. Junior was a great chef who could not do enough to help in any way he could. Villa in need of some renovation and update of equipment long overdue but because it wasn't a pristine home we felt more relaxed with the young children.

Family holiday
The property is located close to some local eateries and a small convenience shop which was handy but would recommend doing larger grocery shopping at larger stores closer to Nadi. The place was so beautiful with the view and proximity to the beach we immediately felt like we were on holiday when we walked through the door. We really enjoyed being able to go snorkelling/paddle boarding right by the house. The pool was also really nice and we enjoyed making use of it. It was a family holiday and the rooms were well laid out for everyone to be hanging out in the communal areas while also having their own space to retreat to when needed. The staff were just wonderful, very friendly and welcoming. The owner was very helpful and responsive to our needs. He even sourced some hard to find quality bacon as well as organised massages when requested and even loaning us a fishing rod and chilly bin without us asking for things like that. He was so helpful and just keen to provide us with a good stay. The massages were also so awesome and the lovely lady doing it even came to the house which was so handy. Though everything was very clean we found the dishes were very musty from where they were stored so needed a rinse every time you wanted to use these. The place could definitely benefit with a bit of maintenance that could be done on some parts of the property. Overall though, we had a great time catching up as a family and hardly wanted to leave. Thanks Joel and team!

Great place to disconnect & relax
I’ve never done a holiday rental in Fiji before, as normally stay in Resorts, so was a little worried, but Shambala provided a great experience overall. The standout was the chef service & incredible staff. Junior, Mere, Adi & Sotia were incredibly attentive and Juniors expertise and care in preparing delicious meals was absolutely top knotch!! The host, Joel, was prompt in responses and recommended a great transfer driver, Donald, who we also used for a day trip to Natadola. The design of the villa is perfect with 5 large bedrooms, central dining/lounge/kitchen & a pool. There were a few minor maintenance issues, needs some new paddles for the paddle boards, and overall the property feels ‘well used’, but was reasonably priced compared to others we looked at. As it’s on the coral coast, don’t expect sandy beaches, but being out of the bustle of Denarau and the likes, is refreshing. Would highly recommend to a group looking to retreat and reconnect with warm Fijian hospitality at its best.

Trip of a lifetime!
What a fantastic week we had at shambala. It was our little bit of paradise after our adventures during the day. There was 6 of us- 4 teens, and they loved snorkeling and kayaking out on the coral reef.Shambala is beautiful and had every amenity! The staff made it so memorable, they are so sweet and really blessed us every day with their smiles! We were spoiled by them, they even did our personal laundry every day. Our favorite night was when chef Seviri and the girls made a traditional Lovo meal, what a feast! We had so much amazing food, we asked the ladies and Seviri to join us. Our teen boys really loved helping them with the Lovo meal. We really thought the location was great, we’re not fans of touristy areas, and we felt that we were in true Fiji. Joel was a great host, and we can’t wait to come back!

If you love heat and humidity this is the place in Feb.
The property is located on a ledge over the ocean. Beautiful views in every way and couldn't have been more pleased. The place is in dire need of an update. Decking can be an issue with so many old boards that have seen there days. Equipment, A/C weak at best and broken in some locations, toaster, coffee pot, and french press broken, can openers broken had to use knives till we went and bought one. It had no fans on the deck or in the main house and Joel I found out fixed two of them while we were there in the bedrooms which were a lifesaver, I saw him but didn't meet him even though he was 5 feet away installing one in our room that was broken. That seemed strange. The most amazing part of our stay was the STAFF, Joel had recommended the chef and we had him cook 6 meals for us in 2 weeks. The first night after missing a day because of plane issues in the states fixed us on our first night a Lovo meal. It will be a memory for the rest of our lives along with a buffet they had for us with some friends that were in the Parliament, and he holds a special office on the Oceania Olympic committee. The staff surprised us with the most amazing BBQ. Joel, this made our trip very special. The housekeeping staff were there for any and every need, some we didn't know we needed. They did our personal laundry every day and now we are spoiled for the ordinary, it's now back to doing our own. The last meal we asked the staff team to join us and we had a very nice time blessing them for all their hard work and service to the 11 of us. Our family's advice is to let the staff do your shopping for you, as the local fare is any and everywhere, up and down the main road but usually not all in one spot unless you shop in the large cities, I guess. The place is for sale and I hope the new owners will throw a few bucks at renewing the place. It can be very special again. My last advice is to believe the reviews about equipment and toys for the water, they are broken and need replacing. If it weren't for the brokenness of the place it would have easily gotten a 5 STAR review. The Staff does get a 5 STAR rating and many thanks for the memories you helped us build for our family, they are a special group.

The Staff Made Our Stay a Rememberable Experience
Location, location what can I say. Right on the beach where the coral was pristine and the fish life abundant. The property was a little tired and does need some money spent on it. But the staff made up for its shortcomings... the chef Savire was excellent and the girls were always bright and happy. We miss them all. Thank you.

We stayed at the shambala for 5 nights and wished we booked it longer The property is amazing from the min you walk through the front door. The rooms a spacious, comfortable and clean while the living space is well equipped. Communication with Joel and Chloe was on point with booking the property. Big Thank you To the chef and the house maids for going above and beyond during our stay from non stop eating to entertainment and laughs will definitely be recommending the shambala to family and friends

Coral Coast - Beautiful, Property not in best condition and is for sale
The staff was great and we were grateful for their kindness. The property is for sale and it doesn't seem to be kept as well as the surrounding properties. The property is in need of repairs. I wish that I could upload photos of the conditions. 1. The washer was broken for our last three days and the laundry room flooded. 2. Ant infestation in all the bedrooms. We didn't unpack our luggage in fear of taking the infestation to our next destination. 3. The pool was cloudy the first few days. We were testing our personal snorkeling gear in the pool and visibility was less than one foot . 4. A deck treatment is overdue. Which causes the deck to be very slippery after the slightness rain. 5. Be careful going to the ocean, the clay/stone at the bottom of the stairs is very slippery. My father-in-law had a terrible spill and nearly broke his arm. 6. Make sure you take inventory of the equipment. We were accused of losing two of the kayaks and owner threatened to charge me for them. Thank goodness I had taken photos when we arrived(which are time stamped) of the beach (which included the equipment). Below is part of the statement that owner sent me via email. "Ive just been informed by a fisherman they have found one of the houses (shambala) kayaks out at sea, which is very lucky, And now just ive had my manager Sala check, it turns out two kayaks are missing. You obviously have left them on the beach and high tide has taken them." I found the statement very rude and accusatory without any facts or evidence. As a matter of fact... the kayaks, paddle boards and paddles are all unlocked (unsecured) and can be taken by anyone walking the beach. 7. The owner came out after we had been there a couple days to adjust the chemical levels in the pool to help clear the water and I found it strange that he didn't introduce himself to us. I noticed that someone was working on the pool and initiated the Hello and his only reply was Hi. Not a "Sorry that the pool isn't clean", "Are you guys enjoying your stay?", "Is there anything you guys need?". I only knew it was him because of his photo on the site. The owner's attitude made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Until there's new ownership and the place has been repaired, I would select one of the other beautiful properties in the area.

The property is amazing! great views, well maintained. The staff are very hospitable and friendly. The owner of the property is very responsive. I would very much recommended staying at this property. The water views are beautiful. At night, make sure to turn off all the lights and enjoy the night sky.

Beautiful house, beautiful setting and great staff......fantastic stay
Fiji is a beautiful island and the coral coast is stunning. Shambala is on the beach, close to Spas, diving and all the activities the coral coast has to offer. The house itself is wonderful. It has oceans of space and facilities are just perfect for a family holiday when you don’t want to do the “resort holiday”. Bedrooms are perfectly appointed and the communal cooking and dining area just pulls you into a shared family experience. Having a pool to pop into of any evening, or to rinse off after an early morning snorkel in the reef (at the end of the garden) is a genuine holiday delight. The house staff, Mila and Vina are amazing too. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Servicing the rooms every morning and cooking Lovo or other Fiji meals was magical. Sharing some Kava with them was terrific fun. Claire, the house manager, has tons of knowledge and advise on how to make the most of the time there......which we certainly made sure we did. From market time in Sigatoka to Shark Diving in Beqa Lagoon. That’s a Fiji holiday. Thanks for sharing your house with us Joel......beautiful spot and great value. Totally recommended!!! Thanks for your all your friendly advise Claire. Special thanks also to Mila and Vina for all your hard work and Lovo parties!!! Mark, Kim and the family
