"The gentleman at the front desk asked if we had been to The Tennessean before. We said no. He said welcome to The Tennessean. That was it. No info on the hotel, the valet, what to do, where the restaurant/bar was. Nothing. Other than that, it was a nice stay."

"Cumberland House Knoxville was a nice spot for our overnight. Lobby appeared very clean and welcoming. Rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable, room could have been cleaned better (food wrappers in garbage can, tags from clothing on floor, stains on rug). Carpet needs a good cleaning as it has a few very visible stains. Bathroom was pretty clean, shower pressure was excellent, broken tile in shower should be fixed, bathroom door had loud squeak (in need of wd40!). Food/drinks in restaurant...

"The service at this property was spectacular. I usually stay at the Four Seasons or Ritz but stayed here due to its location. The service was on a par with any 5 Star Hotel, from the front desk to the housekeeping service to the bar/breakfast. The amenities were great. The room was spacious and clean.
