"My daughter and I had a wonderful time in New Milford and at the Homestead Inn. First and foremost, the staff was wonderful and welcoming. We were greeted upon arrival and Antonio offered many helpful suggestions regarding area eateries and things to do - even places to park on our side trip to Yale in New Haven! Catherine was also very accommodating, going to extra lengths to assure that my daughter with food allergies was safe. The property was very clean and the area very charming....

"There is a tiny little wooden bridge at the entrance of the driveway and the mailbox is on the opposite side of the road from the house. A doe was keeping watch on the mailbox when we arrived after dark. And check out the night sky!"

"This house does have a lovely view that allowed us to take in the changing leaves off the reflection of the lake. The house is smaller than it appears in the photos and not quite as comfortable to just hang out, at least inside.The couch fits three, but there aren't other chairs in the living area.
