"Amazing villa, by far the best we have stayed at. Spotlessly clean with every amenity we could have wished for. We enjoyed the huge shaded area which was perfect for chilling with a book or drying off after a swim. The local beach is very small but great for a swim or a snorkel. The directions to the villa were great and kept us off the rough tracks which a sat nav can take you via. We enjoyed the taverna at Avithos beach which has great food and lovely views. We definitely hope to return!"

"A lovely property with fabulous views. Very comfortable bed and good air-conditioning when needed. Our room was number 10 up in the eaves so some low sloping ceilings but an amazing view. Small but adequate kitchenette and bathroom. Great pool. Good local restaurant and handy shop. Definitely need a car, too far to walk to the beach or Fiscardo. Would stay here again. "

"This was our 2nd stay in Villa Varkoula. It’s a simple but lovely villa, with pool and great views of hills. Very peaceful. A joy to watch the swallows/swifts dipping down to sip from the swimming pool, a few sightings of an eagle and cute bats in the evening. A car is essential, but the town of Lixouri and several lovely and not too busy beaches are all within a short drive. Perfect for a quiet getaway or as a base to explore the wonderful island of the Kephalonia."

"This property is truly amazing and I cannot recommend it enough! My partner and I stayed for a week and agreed it was one of our favorite places we’ve even been (both the property and the island)! Nikos, the owner, is so kind and helpful. He communicated before we arrived, was there to greet us and show us around, and helped with a few things during our stay like lending us a beach umbrella and providing recommendations for the island. "I like this property it's good enough, it's right on the water right on the main drag where you go to eat. However, do not let them put you on the first floor that doesn't have an elevator. The carpet in the entire building really smells disgusting and sometimes the smell comes into your room.
