"We stayed at building #2 and #6 due to limited room availability during winter break. Rooms look totally different, one from 2010(#2) vs other from 1980(#6). They are priced as such, too. So set your expectations properly. Interestingly, #6 is easier to access Hiuchi-no-yu(onsen). #2 has good bathroom so you may want to avoid walking all the way to Hiuchi. Dining options are limited to resort itself and price is high to promote all-inclusive plans. Their in-house convenience shop charges extra for everything. This old style business model has to go. I wish the resort invites usual convenience stores like 7-11 so that guests will have access to better/cheaper breakfast. As a ski resort, Naeba is good. Everyone can access green course on top of gondola #2 which has fresh snow compared to usual resort’s green courses at the bottom of the mountain. And those folks can take gondola back down to skip blue courses. Though you have to pay little extra, I highly recommend trying Dragondra for its view and better snow in Tashiro area, at least one day."

"The hotel property is amazing. But don’t like the area. Everything closed around 5:00 pm. There was no restaurant s in the area and shopping, so we have to eat at the hotel. "

"Quiet and relaxing onsen inn, an economic choice as well. A short walk up from a bus stop, with a lovely view of the lake. Great for a relaxing get away."

"Overall enjoyed our stay but there were a few small things that could have made our stay more fulfilling. The entire place is made kids friendly which was really touching and is a welcome attitude given we are a family with 2 kids. The breakfast spread was quite good but had very limited vegetarian options - again the kids section there was really awesome! Rooms were quite clean but a bit smaller than anticipated, the toilet exhaust was a bit low or not working which made it a bit awkward. Loved the dedicated kids play area, gachapon area, vending machines, coin laundry, pool was paid, onsens were excellent and the halloween themed setup was cute. We were really relieved with the dedicated Lawson combini in their lobby!!! How cool is that :)"

"Feels very upmarket from the entrance all the way to the room. The Japanese room I stayed in felt extremely large; like a 5-star hotel in Tokyo. The washbasin area looks modern and is well equipped with amenities, including a face steamer. Separate toilet is large. Bathtub is deep for a good soak with a nice view of the outside. Parking is limited in front so you need to drive further in or up the slope. May be inconvenient if you are alone with heavy luggage and arriving late. Some of the fixtures also need attention as the mixer switch at the bathtub (room 305) was broken with sharp edges; this can be a risk for children, those with poor eyesight or using it in low light. I did not use the hot springs as I spend most of the time exploring the area by car. Highly recommended for couples, lone travellers and small families."
