We spent 3 nights here and throughout the whole trip, the staff were friendly and kind, the food - especially the French dinner and the breakfast - was DELICIOUS, and we loved the overall feel of the hotel. "The mixed gender outdoor hot spring with swim wear provided was excellent. Our room had a mini zen garden inside, and we fell asleep to the sound of the river behind the hotel. Breakfast and dinner buffets provided ample options, including a make your own hotpot for one. A great place to relax and spend the night after exploring Kurodake ropeway and the surrounding portion of Daisetsuzan National Park."

"The ryokan certainly has accumulated a fair bit of ages, however, it was relatively well maintained. Onsen bath was great, it Moor Spring as they claimed has the highest level of mineral, great for skin. I love the dinner best, with international as well as Japanese styles cuisine. I managed to secure the a Japanese styles room with open air private bath. The summer has considerable humidity, and ryokan attempted to use dehumidifier to remove the humidity. Overall experience was good. "
