Just minutes from Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon National Parks and so much more! The Sunset Cabin is your central basecamp for all your southern Utah adventures.

The Space
The Sunset Cabin was designed and furnished to make your vacation here in southern Utah relaxing and convenient. The 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms means everyone has their private space and the open concept living, dining and kitchen provides the perfect space to cook, entertain and enjoy time with each other.

Guest access
You will enjoy complete access to the Cabin and acres of wide open space. Sit on the porch with your favorite beverage or snack and splendor in the amazing sunsets for which the Cabin is so named. Your view will be framed by the Vermillion Cliffs of the Grand Escalante Staircase National Monument to the north and the Chocolate Cliffs to the south. Once the sun falls behind the cliffs to the west, you will be treated to a 360 degree sky full of stars and the entire Milky Way.

Neighborhood overview
Palomar Estates is a few minutes east of Kanab in wide open space south of the Vermillion Cliffs and north of the Chocolate Cliffs.

Getting around
Here, a car is required to access the many parks, sites and destinations that we have here in southern Utah. A high-clearance 4WD vehicle is recommended for off-road adventures to remote places in the Kaibab National Forest, Vermilion Cliffs or other wilderness areas.

Great location, great stay!
We loved staying at this location! It's only about 5 miles out of Kanab, and it felt secluded and private. We could see the Milky Way each night. The design of the cabin is perfect for two couples, with two bedrooms and two en suites bathrooms that were very convenient. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own dinner one night. They had plenty of dog blankets to provide as well. I highly recommend staying here!

This was the best rental I think we have ever stayed at. The house was immaculate, not a dust bunny anywhere. The kitchen was well stocked as well as the bathrooms. I can’t think of one thing that needed changed.

Perfect cabin in a very welcoming and comfortable town! We were close to everything we wanted to do and see and it was so nice to come back to a cozy comfortable cabin. It was nice and remote but close enough to town if you needed something. Has all the amenities you need!

Looking forward to Going Back!
This was exactly what my husband and I were looking for in terms of a little seclusion with wide open expanses of the horizon, yet a close drive to Kanab. We watched the sunset every night and the rocking chairs were a huge hit with my husband. The rental is situated with homes nearby yet far enough that you still have a lot of privacy. We traveled with our pets and as a pet friendly place, you would never know other pets have been in it. It was very clean. Although we enjoyed going in town for dinner each night, it had all the amenities you'd need if you preferred to eat at home. We really soaked in the quiet nights since we live in a city where noise pollution is over the top. We even booked an extra night while there because we didn't want to leave. Our only recommendation to travelers: while rental units can't satisfy every type of sleeper (soft vs firm mattresses) - if you're used to soft mattresses, travel with a small topper. However, this would not deter us in any way from going back to this rental. It was fantastic! And we can't wait to go back when it's not as cold so we can take in the fire pit and grilling outdoors! Last, communicating with the host - very responsive and fast to accommodate any of our needs. Top-notch!

Great spot
There are several cabins similar to this one in Kanab..... Same floor plan.... However this home is wonderfully stocked, nicely appointed, perfectly clean. The location is perfect as it is down the road a bit from the highway and surface streets. Any requests are immediately taken care of. Will stay here again most definitely.

Kanab VRBO for the win!
This rental was absolutely perfect for our. needs! It was a well designed and appointed cabin. Location was ideal for exploring all of the terrific natural sights nearby. The quick drive into Kanab was nice for groceries and dining options! We highly recommend this rental!

This cabin was exactly what we needed! It is a remote feel without being too far outside of town. Our dogs loved playing outside the whole time and we were able to relax by drinking wine on the front porch and watching the sunset. The cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed as well. We got locked out at one point and forgot the code to get back in. The host was very kind and came immediately over and let us back in. Excellent and comfortable stay!

Wonderful stay for families. Well furnished and well serviced place away from the noise and crowds, but felt safe in the property. Property is large enough to walk within the property but not a good place to walk outside of the property. Need to have a vehicle. Grocery store is a quick 10 min drive

Just Perfect for Us
The cabin is located jus a few minutes from Kanab. Access to Hwy 89 is easy, and the location was perfect for making this our headquarters from which we made multiple day trips to all of the parks, hikes and sights. So much to do and see! The cabin is very clean and very well appointed. The beds and furniture are comfortable, and the cabin is nicely laid out. There is a nice front porch that is great for watching the sunsets. Responses to questions were quick and pleasant. We visited Bryce, Zion, Cedar Breaks National Park, Kodachrome, Toadstool Hoodoos, Arches Hike at Red Canyon, Navajo Lake, North Rim of Grand Canyon, Glenn Canyon, Lake Powell, Petrified Forest, Best Friends, and others in the 9 nights we stayed here. Our dog enjoyed it too. I highly recommend this place!
