"The resort was not full because of the construction. It will be beautiful when completed. We enjoyed the ability to get a chair at the beach and pool. The construction didn’t bother us. We enjoyed our stay there very much. "

"Location is in a very peaceful area with amazing views of the ocean, coastline and Mauna Kea. You need to figure out food options as it is remote but there was plenty of coffee and tea options in the room. A ceiling would be a benefit but the standing fan and air conditioner eventually cooled the room. The owners were very kind and helpful. Definitely recommended."

"I honestly cannot think of one negative thing to say about this property, other than I needed stay longer as it was just beautiful! The staff, everyone that we came across, were so friendly and willing to help with anything we asked. The grounds were immaculate. Being right on the beach made for easy recreation, and wow, it was unbelievable! If God is willing, we will be back!"

"Our stay at Catrinka’s hale was stunning. Every morning I couldn’t believe the breeze coming through, and the views and sounds of nature out every window. It’s a quick drive to Waimea coffee company or Hapuna beach! There were many useful odds and ends as far as kitchen, toiletry, and beach items. Tape and scissors! We swapped pillows for the ones in the closet that were more like ours at home. Any time I needed something I was able to find it, if I wasn’t I knew Catrinka was a phone call away. Would love to stay again! "

"The property was gorgeous and the views of the water were spectacular. We had an ocean view room that was worth the upgrade, and the beachside restaurants took full advantage of the views. We paid extra for the Gold package and the service was outstanding. Staff were friendly, helpful, and timely the making sure the breakfast, snacks, and evening appetizers were set up. Fitness center was top notch and concierge services at the resort made some high quality recommendations that saved us time and resulted in a great experience. The location of the resort in the Mauna Lani area near Kona is close to shopping and restaurants but far enough away that the grounds are serene and peaceful. Highly recommend the property and the upgrade to the Gold package. "
