"Upon entering the cottage we found a beautiful assortment of produce on the counter and a well-stocked fridge — not just milk but eggs, bacon, and a few other delicious surprises. Fresh bread was delivered not long after our arrival. The house is beautifully decorated as the pictures depict and the diversity of plants in the garden amazing. Vineyards surrounding everything. The morning we left our kind host allowed us to join a tour she was giving of her own gardens located just down the lane. "

"We enjoyed our stay at this lovely family bach in Ngakuta bay. Location was great, right on the water, Ngakuta loop trail, and the link trail. We enjoyed the toys and game room. This is a classic kiwi bach and you need to bring your own sheets and towels. We did not hear back when we inquired about the possibility of renting linens. The property is what we expected from a kiwi back and we really enjoyed our stay. "

"What a wonderful place! It absolutely exceeded expectations in comfort and scenery. Those views are captivating - we spend a lot of time just sitting on the deck and looking out! The space was welcoming and well equipped. We enjoyed an outing to Blenheim to visit the Omaka Air Exhibits and a few cellar doors on one day, and then the Pelorus Mail Boat trip the next day. But best of all was just relaxing at the bach, enjoying the views, some wine, some games and some delicious apples. ...

The only time there was any delay was when they were waiting to hear from other parties (e.g., cleaners). The house was well supplied and had magical views. "A great place to stay for a couple... and, in our case, two small dogs. Everything you need, although no freezer or laundry facility. The fridge is a wine fridge but it's huge and was plenty big enough for our needs. Tons of room, excellent bathroom, comfortable bed, wifi, large tv. Easy access to Havelock and Queen Charlotte Sound, Blenheim, Picton, and Rapara Beach (no good for swimming but awesome ruggedness), plus heaps of wineries to explore."

"Kiwi as but great. Without being flash it has been refined over many years by the look. Very practical if you're staying for fishing or socializing. Of course the weather was amazing for us, but there is a good covered deck right by the lounge if required and internal stairs to get downstairs, if you're brave enough.Loved it and will be back."

"Greeted at reception by great friendly staff, i had an issue with the TV remote not working and sadly using a different remote did not work however this was fine as i was shown where the buttons on the TV were so not a big deal. The floor tiling in the bathroom needs a bit of attention but overall a pleasant stay."
