"Eugene (on reception) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I am in a wheelchair and he even offered to push me back to my room. My room 139 was very clean Except for the underside of the wall mounted shower seat, which was filthy. The food wasn’t great. My husband ordered pie and mash but received pie and chips. "The bed was very clean but uncomfortable (rock hard) However, I didn’t appreciate that the toiletries were not changed… so we had the mini body cream that had been used and had someone else’s hair in it… that was pretty disgusting. "The wonderful lady that greeted us was friendly and had a good sense of humour. She showed us to our room which was spotlessly clean. We had dinner which she also cooked and breakfast again cooked by this true asset to the pub. A pleasant stay for a wedding just a short walk away. Was it the Ritz?
