"This a beautiful hotel which seems brand new. The staff is wonderful and the meals are great. There isn’t much to do in Jozankei and there are very limited lunch options around (the hotel serves breakfast and dinner). We had a room with a private onsen which was great. Great views of a mountain right in front of the room. If you want to chill and relax you may love it. But don’t expect lots of activities. Loved eating sushi for breakfast. Very quiet and tranquil. "Exceptional hospitality, food, and amenities - It's a highlight of our trip. When we arrived at property, almost entire staff greeted us on the street by the entrance. Kaiseki meals were wonderful. The second floor recreation room was a happy place to be -Zen garden view, delicious snacks, drinks, and late night soup... The rooms were clean and spacious. Onsen pools were nice, especially the roof top one. We look forward to our next trip there"
