"We had the mini suite and it was very nice. Lots of space to spread out, keep leftovers to warm up or make a little snack. Overall very quiet and clean. Recent uodates as well."

"Overall a great stay. On the plus side, it was great to see the breakfast area being restocked up to the scheduled end time for breakfast. Many hotels stop replenishing and the stragglers who come at the last minute don't have much to choose from. On the minus side, the exterior trash can near the door closest to our room didn't get emptied once during our two night stay. It was full when we arrived and was overflowing with extra trash set alonside it (in fast food bags or shopping bags) by the time we left. Another minus is that the room's thermostat wouldn't go below 67° and I like to sleep a little cooler than that. "

"This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in over the last few years! My son and I stayed down in Mankato due to my son having an 8 am appointment to take his driver’s road test and I wanted to make sure that he was comfortable driving in Mankato prior to him taking his test. (We live in a town with 0 roundabouts and Mankato has a bajillion roundabouts!). I picked the Holiday Inn Express for its location close to the DMV Testing site, its proximity to many of the different roundabouts in the area, the fact that a night’s stay included breakfast and because it had a pool and hot tub. Check-in was a breeze. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. We rested in the room for about an hour and then made our way out in to Mankato to give my son ample time to get used to driving in a town with ALL the roundabouts. We had a lovely supper in the City Center area of town, did some more driving, and then made our way back to the hotel to use the hot tub and pool. This hotel literally has the BEST hot tub, it is the biggest hotel hot tub I have ever seen and was HOT! It felt so good to relax in, and when we got too hot, we had a dip in the pool. There is also a very nice kiddie pool with a fun fountain as well. The pool area was well maintained and the chlorine levels were perfect (not high like most hotel pools). The beds were super comfy and we both slept very well. In the morning we enjoyed the many wonderful options for breakfast and then checked out. Great Stay!"
