"Wonderful onsen hotel very traditional feel to it. Beautiful room, not use to sleeping on traditional Japanese bed and pillow so not super comfortable for me but well worth the experience. Private onsen amazing. Great location easy to get to. Staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of room for 4 adults"

"During our 2 week stay so far in Japan, this has been one of our favorites. It is so convenient to the train and bus stops. The staff was wonderful even giving me towels so I could use their foot bath after we had checked out but needing to kill 2 hours before it was time for our train back to Kyoto. We would definitely stay there again. "

"I had a wonderful stay in this hotel, the staff was super friendly and helpful, the room was amazing with a incredible view, the location could not be better close to many restaurants, shops and a huge supermarket right in the back of the hotel. Thanks for the high level of service!"

"The hotel has been recently rebranded and is undergoing extensive renovations. The bits they've finished, like the rooms and the dining room, are new and shiny. The room itself was comfortable. It's close to the town, which has good izakaya and other options if you're not on a meal plan. There is also a Lawson close-by. On weekdays especially the hotel is an active construction site inside and out. It probably isn't what the workers want, to have to share a construction site with guests. It also felt a bit odd as a guest e.g. the workers congregate/socialise/smoke in a space inside the hotel entrance. I realise they are trying hard to improve the hotel, and the hotel staff were courteous and helpful at all times. The state of construction is reflected in the price, which is cheaper than nearby options. I read about the construction in advance from Japanese language reviews on other sites, so it wasn't a complete surprise."
