The host goes out of her way to make sure all you could possibly want is taken care of. Breakfast is varied and delicious. The best coffee I’ve had in Taiwan. It is within steps of the boat landing, the bike route and the cable car to the Formosa Village. The charm of this little hotel made going to Sun Moon Lake all the better. "

"On the same street as Wyndham Sun Moon Lake, but cost 10x less. Good for 1-2nights stay. Clean place with private, lockable cabins, and very near the ITA Thao shopping street and pier. You can walk along the lake to the cable car station and the Nine Frogs Stack 九蛙疊像. Even though the opening hours of some food stores are quite unpredictable, there are plenty of options and two convenience stores around."

"This hotel was very very good with prompt service ad check in. We had a room at the end of the hallway as requested and also on a higher floor. Two king size beds and a twin bed for the 5 of us. "Great customer service! They are very helpful to guests, and it is a unique guesthouse with lots of wood and art. It is right around the corner from the Sun Moon village night market. There are a few resort villages around the lake, but this one is the closest to the cable car that goes to the Aboriginal Culture Park. The cable car is walking distance (and worth the ride), but you can also rent bicycles or electric bicycles very affordably near the hotel and get around easily."
