We had a wonderful stay here! The propery is well maintained and spacious. We loved walking to the brook in the morning (the mist above the water with the reflection of the foliage was beautiful)- and there were many trails to investigate! The bedroom was cozy and the den was comfortable. Our dog Harlie loved the house- and the back yard- and the walks. Thanks for a great stay!

The property had lots of space for sleeping. The pictures are reflective of the actual space. The house is quite old and shows its age. The furnace can loud when it runs as there are ventilation that runs up between the main floor bedrooms. Outside was quite lovely with a river near by and snowmobile trail.

House was great. The only negative was how close to the road it is. We would stay again if in the area again.

We went to play Newport CC and have a weekend with my two children and their spouses. We also had our 6 month old grandson. The house was set up perfectly as one bedroom had a smaller room connected to it. Perfect for the baby portable crib. The house is a very quick drive from Newport activities. Great weekend. Plenty of space in house.

Very clean home. Perfect location for viewing the 2024 eclipse. We've been to the Northern part of Vermont before but not the Irasburg area. It's very quiet and peaceful. The home is a lovely restored farm house with plenty of room for 8 in our family gathering age range 18-84. We had a great time. Had a check in snafu that was our fault due to the way the vrbo app displays info but resolved quickly. Hope we didn't bother the hosts ;-)

This is a beautiful country house which must have been one of the largest homes in the area to have been built at that time. Would love to know more about the history of the home. Thank you for leaving the Christmas tree up for us. Our home is too small to have one so this was a treat for the family. We loved the well-appointed kitchen which had everything that we needed. The refrigerator and freezer were very roomy. The mud room behind the kitchen was very conveniently located. It was great to be able to juggle kitchen and laundry duties in areas so close to one another. What a great design! We were also pleased to find a dog rope toy as we had forgotten to pack one ourselves, which helped our younger down to settle down on the first day.The bedrooms were beautifully appointed. Especially appreciated the bedroom upstairs which had two beds, which is perfect for my parents who like to be in the same room, but not in the same bed. The bedroom downstairs were connect to one another were perfect for our two boys who normally share a room. This gave them privacy while being reassuringly close to one another. As with most older homes, the hot water in the bathroom upstairs could have been hotter. An additional heating element in that bathroom would have also been appreciated for cold winter days. Overall, this was a very comfortable stay.

We all have an incredible time in Vermont at this property. It was simply perfect. It was close to Jay Peak for skiing and restaurants for going out. The beds were all comfortable and plenty of living space for all of us to spread out.

The house is beautiful, and was perfect for visiting family. The cushions on the live seat on the deck had been left out dripping wet, but I hung them over the railing, dried them and brought them in. The front right porch stair railing is rotten and my sister-in - law fell coming up the stairs. The deck table was really dirty and had to be cleaned thoroughly before we used it. We didn’t use the oven but it hadn’t been cleaned. None of these issues hindered our absolutely wonderful stay, but we thought the hosts would want to know!

We had a fabulous time in this antique home. It was great to bring our pets on a vacation with us. The property is beautiful with a great little walk to a small waterway. There were plenty of suggestions left by the owners for great things to do in the area. We would definitely stay again

We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully restored farm house. It was the perfect size for our sibling reunion. Ample space for comfortably dining on the deck or in the dining room, large living room to socialize in, well appointed bedrooms. Owners were extremely responsive to all our questions. We could not have had a better stay.

The farmhouse was perfect for our first vacation to the NEK - more than enough room for my family of four (two adults and two young kids) and my brother-in-law. There was very little that wasn’t provided in terms of housewares, toiletries, etc, and having a washer and drier on the first floor was extremely helpful (although on occasion the some of our clothes came out with orange spots presumably from the iron in the water). Between the large yard and creek, my boys never stopped playing outside (and thankfully, it never seemed to get too buggy)! We also found the location ideal as it was pretty much just 15 - 30 minutes from every activity and place we wanted to check out. This was a great place to stay, and we hope to have an opportunity to return again!

This was the perfect rental for my 89 year old Mom and me to get away for the month of July. We were looking for a change of scenery and reacquainting ourselves with Vermont and friends. Thank you Helen and Glenn. With luck, we will be back. Linda H
