Great Location for a Family Weekend
The property had everything we needed to accommodate our extended family - six adults and four children. The location was peaceful and the surroundings, beautiful. The location was convenient to many Point Reyes attractions, and the game room and movie and board game collections were an unexpected bonus.

Fabulous home w/ gorgeous view
Six of us had a fantastic weekend here. The view from the living room and decks is spectacular, and the property had everything we needed. It's a quick walk to a secluded beach, and we really enjoyed our dinner at the Tap Room. Hope to return!

Big down-to-earth home in amazing location
This was our second stay since it's the perfect place for large family gatherings! Amazing views, birds and crickets and deer, short walk to a lovely small beach and short drive to all of Point Reyes hikes and beaches. We had so much fun playing ping pong even though the garage room has some water and mildew issues. We will be back!

Relief from fires
We loved our stay. House is well laid out and very comfortable, with great views of bay. Great hikes 5-10 minutes away. Only disappointment was that, due to fires and COVID, Point Reyes Station is a shadow of its former self (Inverness seems to be doing better).

Great Getaway
We had a great getaway to the Cliff House over the winter holiday. The house is excellently located near Tomales Bay State Park, a lovely hike from the house. The house itself is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked, which is helpful because there are not many places to eat out in Inverness. We will consider going back!

We were a party of 5 women who have known each other for 40 years. It was one friend’s 70th BD. We enjoyed the area and the house so much. It was wonderful to sit out on the deck overseeing Tomales Bay. The fireplace was great. The kitchen had every kind of amenity one could think of. Thanks for a great visit!

Cozy, charming Cliff House!
Celebrated two double digit birthdays at this wonderful home. Very impressive views! Home was well cared for and so comfortable!! Lots of wood for roaring fires!! Plenty of room for multiple families. Great layout! We all loved the great room with soaring wooden ceilings, comfy furniture! Great gathering place! Thanks for a marvelous stay!!

Annual Inverness Reunion
We are a group of six friends who all grew up in Inverness/Olema. This home has allowed us to get together and re-experience all our favorite things about the area. The walking distance to Shell Beach cannot be beat except maybe by the stunning views from the Cliff House. The four bedrooms allow us all to stay in comfort, no one is stuck on a pull-out couch or livingroom floor! We can't wait for our annual visit in 2024!

Cozy home in Inverness's Seahaven neighborhood
The house is located in a wonderful neighborhood with a view of Tomales Bay from the living room, dining room, deck and master bedroom. Near Chicken Ranch beach a great place to play with kids as the water is pretty tame. Also a great place to put your Kayak in. And if you don't have one there is a kayak rental operation very close by. The house is well equipped and big enough to have extended family and friends along. We really enjoyed our time at the Cliff House!

Close to it all
This house suited the needs of my 7-member family very well as the final stop in our 2,100 mile road trip around California. The house was very comfortable and well-appointed. We had plenty of space and bedding for the group. I loved having an open fire in the fireplace at night. The house is close to the amenities of Inverness, Inverness Park, and Point Reyes Station. It is also very close to the beautiful Point Reyes National Seashore. The drive to San Francisco International is easy as well. This allowed us to avoid an overnight hotel stay in San Francisco to end our trip. Thank you to the owners. I highly recommend this property if your travels take you to the area.

Wonderful Reunion Home
We stayed at this lovely place in February 2023. It is perfect for a reunion of family and friends. There were 6 of us: 3 couples in our 60s and 70s. Long time and new friends getting together - coming from San Francisco, Oakland, and Cincinnati. The house was perfect: 4 separate sleeping rooms with 3 toilets and 2 showers, plenty of linens and extra blankets, large common and dining areas, excellent furnishings for cooking and eating as a group, a fire in the fireplace at night with seating for everyone and space for more. And the views! So many stars at night, the Bay and hills in the distance, trees all around. We enjoyed our favorite hiking trails in nearby Point Reyes. What an enjoyable stay!

Fabulous House
We were staying in Inverness as my youngest lives here with her family. The Cliff House easily accommodated myself, a couple friends, and my son’s family. The view from the living room windows was spectacular and it was relaxing to sit on the deck in the evenings. The house provided everything we needed as far as comfortable furnishings and supplies/equipment for preparing meals. We were able to get to Love Field for a celebration with no problem. The only thing that could be better was if there were screens for the windows so we could keep them open. Other than that, the place was fantastic and I’d definitely rent here again! Thank you!

Perfect family or friends retreat
This was our family's 3rd Christmas stay at Cliff House. To us, it is perfect. The 4 bedrooms are sufficiently separate that each feels private, even though there is some bathroom sharing. Decks all over the place provide additional living area, weather permitting. Huge open living room-dining room-kitchen allows togetherness as desired. The view of Tamales Bay is fantastic, changing with every part of the day. Kitchen is well-stocked. Huge and level parking area with stalls, if you want them. Perfectly kept, accessible and helpful hosts. NOTHING negative. Yes, it is pricey, but not when divided by 8, which was our number. We hope to stay here again and again. Thank you, Marilyn!

We loved it!!!
I recently spent a weekend with 6 friends at the Cliff House and it couldn't have been better. We all had enough space to spread out, two areas to sit and chat, enough room at the dinner table, and we could meander in and out of the kitchen to help with prep. The huge bank of windows in the living room was fabulous, especially in the rain and the next morning, we were able to watch the sun rise. Everyone slept well and were happy with the comfort of their beds. The outside deck is large enough that next year we plan to come with our yoga mats. The best part was being able to light a fire with plenty of dry firewood and a little cart to tote it from the parking area to the door. We were delighted to find a close by trail down the beach we could walk to and hope to walk the full length next year! It really is a wonderful retreat house. :)
