Indian River getaway

Our stay at Stone's Throw was amazing. The house, and additional cabin, fit our group perfectly. It was in a great location to food and the boat launch. And the "To Do" list was a great touch!!

Perfect location

We came for the boat races and this house was just perfect! The house is absolutely adorable and plenty of space so our group was not on top of each other. It was right across the street from a city river access park so whether you're just looking for a quiet morning cup of coffee on the water or the perfect seat for some boat races this house has it all! You can easily walk up town to several bar/restaurants/ice cream shops and it's really not far from anything you need/want. We had a great stay and the hosts were very helpful with any of our questions!

WOW what a great place!!

This cottage has it all. Plenty of space, all the amenities you need and a FANTASTIC location! Plenty to do in Indian River, or just relax, play games and have a fire. Close to Mackinac Island and Petoskey is a great place to visit.Time permitting you can rent a boat or just walk along the channels and Lake Burt. Can't wait to come back.Thanks Marc and Michele!!

Great place to stay

The cottage and detached room is very nice and homey, we were very comfortable in the home. It provided everything we needed for our stay. It's a quaint place, a little old cottage feel and new. They had a fire pit we used and lots of games to play in our downtime.The cottage is very close to many things, we were a 1/2 block away from a little park on the river. We were able to walk to restaurants, shopping and ice cream shops.We also golfed and rented a pontoon boat to spend a day on the lakes and river, both of these places were close to the cottage.We spent an afternoon on DeVoe beach which is very nice, the water was clear and calm. Great for little kids to swim in.We also went to Cheboygan, Ocqueoc falls and Mackinaw Island which were within 30 minutes from the cottage.I would stay here again and recommend it for a nice place to stay.

Great stay!

We had the great fortune of staying in this cottage for a long weekend and it was exactly what we needed! We spent a day on Burt Lake’s crystal clear waters which we will never forget! We watched sunset on the beach, and enjoyed the local entertainment, dining, and shops. The house was well stocked with everything we needed and had ample space for our group! The owners really know how to make their guests feel welcome!! Next trip we will take the tubing tour down the Sturgeon River!

Lots of activities nearby or in a short drive distance

Very cute and clean. Great location in the town. I personally recommend DeVoe Beach, which is just 3 minutes drive away. The depth is great for my 4 years old. Owner is standby responsive, which I really appreciated.

We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at your place. FIVE STARS! When you told us we’d be the “guinea pigs” as your first guests, I was a little concerned, but from the bottle of wine waiting for us to the location that was so close to everything, it was all we’d hoped for and more. Hits: Walking all over downtown Indian River. Chilling in the big chair watching the river traffic. Very comfortable bedrooms. Kitchen had all we needed. Couple of nights by the firepit. Boating on Burt Lake. Cooking out on the grill. Cool neighbors (think his name was Curt). Big yard for the kids. Looks like pretty much everything is new. Loved the decorating and smart tv’s in the rooms. Misses: Didn’t make it up to Mackinaw Island. This was our first time in Northern Michigan. Loved it. We’ll be back next summer for hopefully a longer stay. Thanks again for hospitality and your recommendations on things to see and do up there. The Stoddards Columbus, Ohio
