"Our room was big and up to date, big shower with heated bathroom floor. We were at the back side of the property and loved that every time we walked out there were chickens from their chicken coop! The restaurant was amazing. Everything we got there was delicious. We went to the bar one night and the bartender was super friendly too. Loved the little coffee shop too! "

"It was incredible at the Hillcrest. Martha and her family were so lovely and cared for us immensely. We were lucky to be there for the night when there were no other guests in the mansion, so we had the entire place to ourselves, and all of Martha's incredible hospitality. She whipped us up an incredible three course dinner at a moment's notice, and the breakfast the next morning was divine. We were in no rush and spent a good three or so hours enjoying the breakfast and chatting to her...

The hotel itself has no office or attendant in the building itself but has an employee in the diner next door, and that is where one checks in and out as well. In addition, the property is two stories but has no elevator or any luggage carts. Our room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. And the food at the diner was delicious. "
