"Nice property just off the main street, near train station. It is pet friendly with 3 resident cats roaming around the lobby. You get to book 2 sessions at the baths after checked in, the semi open bath on the 2nd level is popular, while the rooftop bath may not be a good idea in cold weather although the view is great. You get free use of the bicycles for your stay. There is no lift so you have to carry your luggages up and down the stairs."

"The staff really are so friendly and helpful. Always so courteous and accommodating. The place is very well maintain and doesn't look old at all. The breakfast and dinner are both so good. I will definitely stay there again if I am going to Yufuin. Keep up the good work. There's a really very nice male staff who take good care of us and our needs. Always smiling. Great job. "

"No bathroom!!!!!!! Overpriced tiny room ! It says “ shared bathroom” no only the hot spring room which is for all the residents! A con a rip off. I am going to sue them get a refund. Liars. DO NOT go there!"

"Great place to experience a traditional Japanese ryokan. Food was excellent, and it was very close to the lake and shopping area. But the room was too cold to stay in icy Winer. If I go again, it will be either in Spring or Fall. "

"Really good value with good breakfast."

"Comfortable guest house run by a sweet lady. Very homelike feel and a huge breakfast! A plus for me was the cat, Assi. She is very comfortable around strangers and likes to meow at your door for a visit. She does go to her own room at 9pm, so won't disturb your sleep. "

"The place is clean and the onsen is awesome. The owner is very nice and friendly, help us to call taxi to the train station. Location is good and convenient, near to the lake and Yufuin Floral Village. There are many cafe and restaurant nearby the lake."

"We had an emergency with our toddler and had to go to the hospital. The staff were outstanding and helped us every step of the way. This was old school service and we were made to feel like more than just guests. We were made to feel like family. We cannot thank them enough. "

"宿泊者が2組というびっくり。チェックインのとき、30分後に食事と言われ、これまたびっくり。こちらから指定ができずお風呂もそこそこにすぐに食事となる。前日に宿泊確認の電話があったときに、19時ぐらいになると伝えたのだから、その時に食事の時間を言って欲しかった。また、「お部屋を広い部屋にしました」と、しかしそこは身障者用で、キーが膝下あたりにあり、とてもしにくく、また、お部屋も広すぎて、トイレも遠くそして、広すぎて落ち着かない。多分、2組だけだから1つの階にまとめたかったんだと思うけど…これは、そちらの都合であって、私達は不満でたまらなかった。部屋は、元に戻してもらった。また、氷をお願いしたら有料330円。今まで色んなホテルに宿泊したけど、有料って初めてであった。コロナウイルスで宿泊者が少なく、なんとか経費を押さえてしようとするのはわかるけど、宿泊目線でないことにとても残念であった。"

"Stay away from this hotel: no person in the front desk; the heat was not working (-2 Celsius); no one answered the phone for customer service … worst nightmare for my stay in a foreign country that only a few persons speak English. "We booked the hotel the day of the trip as we had change plans due to Typhoon Haishen. When we entrance to the hotel was blocked with a rope and they did not answer the phone. There was noone to get any information, we did not get a cancellation or a notification. We were left in the typhoon with nowhere to go and struggled to find anything for hours during when the weather got really bad. We had to drive under fallen trees, get out of the car to pull branches off road and hide in someone’s...
