Adorned with a range of cafés, restaurants and deluxe resorts, Hollywood Beach is the principal strand in the heart of the Florida town of Hollywood. It runs alongside the busy Hollywood Broadwalk and offers all types of entertaining activities. Cycle along the promenade, taking in the sights of the sandy stretch and the Atlantic Ocean beyond it.
Relax with your family on your own little spot of sand and work on a tan. Cool down with a dip in the water, whose surface reflects a picturesque spectrum of light blue shades. Rent umbrellas, sun lounge chairs and your own cabanas on the strand, before enjoying a picnic. The beach has activities, allowing you to rent bikes and play endless games of beach volleyball.
For something a little different, head to the Hollywood Beach Theatre, a large stage near the sand. Admire the impressive mural of the sea making up the stage’s background and watch some of your favorite beach bands beneath the stars in the evenings. You’ll find an eclectic range of offerings here, including reggae, pop and Latin music.
Explore the Hollywood Broadwalk for its many restaurants and live performances. The spacious promenade has a wide lane for cyclists and joggers, in the shade of rows of palm trees that move with the wind. Browse the shops and get ice cream for your little ones, before bringing them to the children’s water playground in Charnow Park.
Hollywood Beach stretches across the eastern side of its namesake municipality. It borders the North Beach area at its northern end, before running alongside the hotels and restaurants of the Hollywood Lakes district. Ride on the trolley that takes passengers between the beach and the downtown area.
Stay in this area and visit nearby sights such as the Intracoastal Waterway, West Lake, Hollywood North Beach Park and Harry Berry Park.
