SUSTAINABILITY

- These include a great location close to downtown so you can walk to restaurants and shops, instructions on how to use the "Interurban" (local public transportation), the ability to recycle, filtered water so you can avoid single use plastics, shampoo and conditioner in re-fillable dispensers, "smart" thermostats, energy efficient appliances, re-usable coolers, digital Welcome Book.

NOTE FROM THE OWNERS
- We personally use DOUGLAS MODERN VILLA multiple times a year and take great care of it. Features modern furnishings, while maintaining a comfortable, feel consistent with the character of the house.
- Our local property manager, Colleen, is very responsive and can address any questions/concerns about the house
WHO IS DOUGLAS MODERN VILLA NOT A GOOD FIT FOR?
- Parties or events: Our homes are in quiet, residential neighborhoods. If you are planning a party or event, our homes are not a good fit. We do not have parking or space for large gatherings and greatly value good relations with our neighbors.
- Groups with pets. Several of our regular guests have severe allergies, so we are unable to accommodate pets of any kind.
- Groups where the principal renter is under 30 years old. The principal renter must be 30 years or older and present during the stay.
- Groups that wish to smoke inside the house. Smoking is allowed outside only.
- If you are a large group of unrelated singles, and are not part of a corporate retreat, we may or may not be a good fit. Please reach out in advance prior to booking if you are in this situation.
- A rental agreement is required to rent these properties. Note that cameras are present outside the house, and noise monitoring devices (privacy compliant) are present inside and outside the house.
RATES
- Nightly Rates are $300 - $1500 per night, 2-night minimum, holidays/peak may have higher rates
- Weekly rates are between $2,500 - $10,500 per week depending on the time of year. Inquire about low season weekly specials (between November and April) for the best weekly rates.
- To confirm your reservation, 50% of rental fees and a signed short-rental agreement must be received within 48 hours of booking; balance of rental fees and security deposit are due within 60 days of check-in.
HOUSE RULES
- No pets allowed of any kind. NO EXCEPTIONS, some of our regular guests have severe pet allergies. A minimum $500 deep cleaning fee will be assessed if pets are found to be present on the property
- No smoking inside the house
- No parties or events. Note that cameras are present outside the house, and noise monitoring devices (privacy complaint) are present inside and outside the house. Hosting a party shall be grounds for immediate eviction, with no refund.
- Maximum occupancy of DOUGLAS MODERN VILLA is 15 total people
- A short-term rental agreement must be signed to confirm the reservation. Guests agree to abide by the house rules, and all terms and conditions on the rental agreement
- The principal renter must be 30 years old, and must be able to verify this upon request through a valid government ID
