"Staff and environment was just top tier. From checking in, and dining in the restaurant, we had no issues during our stay. The rooms are cozy and clean and comfortable. Although the hot tub was closed off, we still enjoyed our stay. The Ohia room was beautiful. Dining dinner options was excellent and great quality food and lots to explore around volcano area! Me and my husband checked out the trails at bird park up the road in the morning, amazing views and time. Mahalo for making our stay so special ❤️"

"This was my city friend's first ride on a dirt road, understanding of off the grid and that, yes that included blow dryers after dark. But more than that, seeing the evidence of the power of nature up close was truly awesome. I would stay again. "

"Really a great change from the Kona beach experience. The Jungalow is really comfortable and well equipped. My family and I really felt at home, and loved the cool, misty mornings with the chickens and pheasants in the front yard adding a comical touch to morning coffee. I'm sorry we didn't stay a few extra days just to hang around the property. The neighborhood is great, my teenager is trying to get me to move here!"

"Great location and charming interior layout. Always appreciate nice art on the walls. Very private and tropical surroundings. The kokee frogs will serenade you in the evening. The WiFi could have been stronger and a bit more kitchenware would be nice. "

"It's a converted house at the end of a very long driveway. The only issue (absolutely only one) is that the walls aren't especially thick and you could hear people in the next room over. I didn't hear them often but it meant I was worried that if I watched TV I might disturb my neighbors. Otherwise it's a very clean well appointed place to stay. The room is very tastefully decorated and the furniture in good shape. The bed is very comfortable and everything is in good repair and working order as far as appliances and fittings. They also go overboard on snacks and coffee, while it's only a Keurig cup a day per person staying in the room there's also hot chocolate, yogurt and a variety of breakfast odds and ends. The grounds themselves are nice, there's shared decks and outside spaces that might have been really nice if I hadn't been out and about so much. I'd recommend this place if you plan to do a lot in Volcanoes National Park, you are just down the road, it's a great place to head back to after a long day."

"Our cottage was at the edge of the jungle, and we fell asleep both evenings to lovely birds singing throughout the night. The water dripping from wet leaves onto the rooftop was also soothing."
