Excellent and convenient location

This condo is in the perfect place with a convenient and short walk to the beach. The condo has plenty of space for two families.

Perfectly located for beach lovers

We loved the location of this condo. The space worked really well for our family of 4. Beds were comfy. All appliances worked except the master bathroom hairdryer. The proximity to the beach and Palmetto Dunes amenities was perfect. The WiFi was the only issue. I was not able to connect to it with any of my devices all week. We would stay at this location again.

Wonderful place

This is a charming cottage on the beach in Anastasia Is. We stayed several nights to enjoy the Xmas Nights of Lights in St. Augustine. It was a perfect stay and communication with the property owner was outstanding. We plan to return.

Nice space in this condo and a great location!

My husband and I were visiting Hilton Head to watch my daughter play lacrosse. The community is beautiful, the condo is spacious and everything was clean. We spent a lot of time walking our dog on the beach. The condo is close to the beach and there was lots of dining and shopping nearby too. Fun getaway!

Short Walk to Anything

Great location for beach, dog walking, pool, ice creams with the grandkids, shops, cycling, restaurants, grocery stores, and the best french bakery!!!Needed a couple of things fixed on arrival - management very polite and extremely responsive. As noted in other reviews, couple of areas need a bit of TLC - wife's comment "But who cares - not why we were there!!"

Great place to stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The unit was just steps from the beach and had plenty of space. 2 large bedrooms each with its own balcony, a large living area, and 3 bathrooms one with washer and dryer. Would definitely recommend!

Great Location

You can’t beat the location of this property. Quick walk to the beach, General Store, Dunes House and pickle ball. The property does have everything you need, but could use some updating.

GREAT DESTINATION!

Excellent accomandations, well maintained and clean community at Palmetto Dunes. Was nice having a pet friendly place. Looking forward to returning again.

The beds were very comfortable. Area is tucked away and very quiet. We have been coming here for several years and we were amazed at the parking lot/sidewalk improvements. They were working on it on our Christmas trip. Big improvement.

A week of good memories....

This is a lovely property. It was perfect for our family. Excellent location close to the beach, secure, good neighbours and everything you need is so close by. The villa is clean, well equipped and spacious. Large bedrooms with comfortable beds, good linens, en suite baths. Adequate kitchen equipment. Highly recommend this spot.

The pots/pans are warped. Doesn’t cook evenly and the master bathroom blow dryer did not work. I was able to use the blow dryer in bathroom with washer/dryer We would consider staying there again

Great location needs updating

These condos were built along time ago. The location is fabulous. The unit we were in needs updating. The building we were in badly needed attention to some potentially dangerous situations.

We enjoyed our stay! Perfect place for our family of 6.

The unit was clean and perfectly matched the online listing. The only thing that would have made our stay more convenient is not having to return the keys to the property manager before leaving. In the past we have stayed at places with a keypad. This made checkout easier. We did get the keys in the mail along with some other information (and parking passes!) before leaving which was so nice!

Nice stay. Condo needs updating

We enjoyed our 1 week visit to Hilton Head. The condo location was convenient to the beach and Palmetto Dunes is close to all shopping and restaurants. The unit was OK, but the bathrooms and kitchen are in desperate need of updates. Tile countertops in the kitchen and baths give an idea of the age. The master bath is especially in need of tub repair. The tiles were falling off to the point that Flex Seal tape was used to cover a major area of tile. We didn't even feel comfortable using that shower and used the hall shower all week. The beds were OK but also really old.

Okay place one minute walk from the beach.

The Moorings is usually a great place but this time was okay, not great. Some decor and furniture were very nice, but the couch is old and worn. The kitchen was poorly stocked: not enough coffee cups, dull knives, and loose fridge handle held on with screws and brackets. But dishwasher stove and Keurig newer and working. Lots of dust over doors, burned out light bulbs, and weird chandelier. Light switch plates dingy and dirty walls. For 3 grand, it’s reasonable to expect a clean place that feels and looks cared for, not just ‘some rental.’

Convenient beach access

The short walk to the beach access is the best thing about this rental. It would have been nice to have had the brand new shower head found in the closet. The one installed is horrible. The wallpaper is peeling in the shower as well. Half of the outlets do not work...including the ones in the master bathroom. A couple of boards are coming loose on the balcony which could be a problem especially if you have small children. I feel like the few minor things could be fixed with minimal time and money especially for the rate this unit is renting for.

Great value, great location!

We stayed in unit 9-10 at The Moorings for the month of February 2018. The flat is spacious, with two large bedrooms and three full baths. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms had ample towels, soaps and shampoos. The kitchen is adequately equipped, but enough so that basic meals can be prepared. The dining table, which is in the end of the living area, seats six. The living room is furnished beach style with two well used sofas. There isn’t a single comfortable sitting chair in the entire unit. Although there is only a view of the parking area and neighboring buildings, there are two decks accessible from the living room and bedrooms. The location, however, more than makes up for any deficiencies the unit might have. The Dunes House and beach are a very short walk away. We would have liked to return for two months next year, however the owner chose not to participate in the discounted long term rental program.
