"Great spot to stay and then half hour into the city. Right off the exit and easy back to the highway. Only stayed for a few hours but place looks great with a nice pool and restaurant. Very cool, looks like an old warehouse. Will definitely be back!"

"On the surface it's clean but the towels smelled like cigarettes and the towel that's supposed to be a bath mat was full of stains. At first I just thought it was an old towel but at least it's clean, but it was not in fact clean. And the blow dryer doesn't work. Also, bring flip flops, the carpet is bad. Lastly, bravo to the person editing the photos, there is nothing "high end" or "modern" about this place. Alto a motel next to the highway, people live here and have pets. It is what it is for the price and location, you get what you pay for. "

"Our stay was very good, the hotel is beautiful. It is clean and feels fresh. The warm chocolate chip cookie is always good. Our check in and check out was fast and efficient. Kaitlyn at the reception desk was great, friendly and professional. Sendia was also at the reception desk but did not acknowledge or even smile at us. On Saturday afternoon, my husband went to inquire about a late check out, when I walked over, he was waiting as Kaitlyn helped another guest, we were waiting for about 5 minutes. Sendia was at the counter but did not call him over, however, when another man walked in the front door with his luggage and immediately she said welcome to the Double Tree how can I help you. Not cool."

"My family was very pleased with our stay. Great Continental breakfast, and all of the staff was very friendly. The room was very spacious and the bathroom smelled like bleach! We will definitely be staying here again as we visit Mahwah frequently. My only personal issue was the softness of the bed- for those like myself who prefer a firm mattress, the mattress was quite soft. But the linens were comfortable and clean. "

"This hotel is underrated. It is one of the best hotels Ive ever stayed at. The rooms are so beautiful, clean, spacious and very nicely decorated with the gorgeous pictures of NYC in every room. The owners are extremely nice and go out of their way to help you with whatever you need. As well as the housekeepers, who help you with anything you need as well. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that is staying in the area. "
