Not as advertised
I planned a family reunion but this house was not ready and did not have the facilities promised for our event. There was a power outage the days before I arrived, but the owner told me he was able to get the cleaner there and everything would be ready. Instead I found the fridge full of rotting food, the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes and smelled horrible and there was no dishwasher detergent. The counter still had crumbs and spills under the appliances, so nothing had been moved to clean underneath. The trash was still in the trash can. The floors, including bathrooms, had not been cleaned. Reached out to the owner who didn't respond until much later and asked if I wanted to have the cleaner return but I had already spent my entire evening cleaning everything. Also the grills weren't cleaned, still had food stuck to them. The owner did send someone to clean them. Note: There is no washer/dryer, no hot tub, no gym, only 5 bedrooms, 2 full baths with poor plumbing, no ability to dine "al fresco" unless you bring your own table and chairs. The dock is dangerous and unusable. The kitchen lacked many items, which I had to request. Beds weren't made properly and rooms lacked lamps and extra bedding. They are clearly still renovating. Although the owner was responsive during the stay, I was most disappointed that he refused to refund any of the fee I had paid. I feel cheated that the house was not what was advertised and I wasn't able to fully enjoy my stay.
