We stayed at the Sheraton 15 years ago for our silver wedding anniversary and loved it, the staff were very friendly and helpful so we decided to stay again this time for our 40th anniversary. The difference was night and day, I think the rooms need updating. The staff in reception seemed like robots with one word answers and hardly a smile in sight, in the bar area getting food they could be unpleasant to talk to one day and nice the next. If you are having a bad day that’s fine but be professional and don’t take it out on the tourists as we are holidaying in a foreign country and if we are asking a question which may seem simple to you it is not to us. I honestly thought it was quite rude at times. I have to say the only time I seen a smile was with a receptionist called Hamilton, we remember his name because we are from Hamilton in Scotland and he couldn’t have been nicer.

Large (for NYC standards), clean, well appointed rooms. Received free breakfast vouchers and the food was hot with a number of options. A very short walk to the subway and Grand Central. Great relatively quiet midtown location.

For the price I just cannot accept that you don’t get an in room coffee machine. They offer free coffee in lobby up to 10:30am, but I hate having to trek down first thing in the morning. Hat to also call to get shower gel as there were no extras in the room. Check in took 15 mins. Room was ok for the price. Service was good.

EVERYTHING ABOUT THE HOTEL WAS GREAT!

Staff were kind, helpful, and wonderful. Room was very clean and modern. Rain shower was one of the best I’ve ever seen.
