"The Royal Sonesta was wonderful! There was nothing that we did not like. We were a party of two 63 year old grandparents and two teenagers. From the moment we arrived until the moment we departed, our trip was wonderful. Even though the hotel is located right on BourbonStreet, the instant you enter the front doors - it is beautiful and quiet! Our interior balcony room faced a lovely courtyard and in the evenings we could sit outside and enjoy the evenings with no sounds from Bourbon Street. Our room was well appointed and very nice and exceptionally clean. Pool area was relaxing with poolside bar and background music. Restaurants at hotel were good and coffee shop off lobby was good also. Valet parking was a breeze - never had to wait for the car. I would highly recommend this hotel! In fact, wish I was there right now - but sadly all good things must come to an end…"

"The place was affordable, clean, and convenient to everything in the French Quarter. Front desk, concierge, bellhop, and security staff were all very helpful. Wifi was acceptable. While it's a basic accommodation, if your goal is to be out and about, you can't beat the price given the location."
