Our group of walking friends had a great week at Macaulay Cottage. It was comfortable, clean, cosy and generally well equipped.
Well placed on the famous "Golden Road", but not too far off the "main" road to be a good base - less than 15 mins drive into Tarbert.
The host's parents on the nextdoor croft were friendly and helpful, and we loved the sheep and lambs, ably organised by Bob dog!
We had generally good weather, out for walks every day except when we went sight seeing to Lewis - a long drive, but worth seeing the Callanish Stones, Uig beach and Arnol Blackhouse (from the outside). Plus visiting the Scallop Shack and the Hebridean Soap Company.
Altogether, a wonderful holiday.
