"While not the vacation that was planned the house quickly became a much needed haven. The host was extremely responsive to the needs of the Helene response team that stayed here. This house and the areas around it were in perfect condition providing a place to unwind, recharge and wake up with a beautiful and relaxing view. Very thankful for this place and for a host who was always there to ensure we had what we needed."

"Gorgeous house. Beautiful views. Horses on the property that you can pet. Carport connected. Private “in law suite” with small kitchen and bathroom. All the amenities one might need. Awesome communication with owner. Responds quickly and is very helpful. Donor hesitate and rent this house. If you rent in the winter with possible ice or snow, you will want to drive a 4 wheel drive of some sort. "

"We so enjoyed our stay! There was plenty of room for families to have their space while still utilizing the comfortable group lounging areas and prepping food to enjoy for a crowd. Ample sleeping areas for multiple families or friend couples. The amenities are top notch - very roomy jacuzzi tub and nicely appointed shower and sauna area. The parking is roomy and well laid out. The mud room is perfect for coming in from a day of skiing to take of boots, snow jackets, and bibs. Plenty of storage...

"We had a fantastic stay at this spacious house, perfect for our large family group! It was very clean and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool table, jacuzzi, and foosball added a lot of fun to our time together. We gave the newlyweds the king suite with the amazing bathroom and I was jealous! "Stayed with my extended family, ages 12-60, and 3 dogs. We all loved it. The house was very clean and comfortable, and had great views. It was so nice that the property was fenced and dogs could roam. The weather was fantastic with temps ranging from upper 50s to mid-80s in late July. Meanwhile temps at home in Arlington VA were hitting 100. It was a great escape!"

"This house was a beautiful place to stay as we dropped our daughter off at App State. You feel like you’re miles away in the country and yet only 5 min to downtown Boone and all the amenities you need. Views were gorgeous, house was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed! Pillows in tatters, couches and chairs were gross. Coffeemakers were all broken. This property definitely needs a makeover. If that bothers you, you’ll want to stay somewhere else."

"Our family stayed here for a short trip to the mountains and we were blown away! The house itself is gorgeous and has so many small thoughtful things (heated floors in the master bathroom?! love!) Besides the house, the host was very welcoming and responsive. There was everything we could have thought to need already there! And those mountain views… Wow! Would recommend to anyone to stay."

"This house was just perfect for my family (with young adult children) to meet up for a summer vacation. The house had everything we needed and was spotless! While there were plenty of things to do in the area, we also enjoyed just hanging out and enjoying the house, cooking meals, playing pool, making smores and enjoying the views and nature! It is an easy drive to Boone and Blowing Rock for dinner. Banner Elk is not far but the roads are a bit scarier at night."

"This house is so nice! We loved sitting on the deck and listening to the river flow by. It was so peaceful and just what we needed. The house was very clean and well maintained. It was well stocked with everything we needed for the weekend. We did lots of fishing and town is minutes away with lots of great food to try.We will definitely be staying again.
