"The views are just as beautiful as advertised...from the kitchen, living room, front & back patios, and master bedroom. Driving into downtown Hilo was super convenient as was exploring the surrounding attractions - waterfalls, botanical gardens, local farms, etc... Communication with the property manager was easy via phone & text. Although no A/C, there are plenty of fans throughout the house. "

"Could not have landed a better spot on the Hilo side of the island. Beautiful neighborhood and excellent location. Across the street from the beach park and 10 minutes outside of town it was an excellent stay for 3 days. Some may not enjoy the experience of the local Tacoma boyz culture but we loved it and had fun rating all the suped up cars peeling out over the speedbumps. "we met the owners on our arrival and found them to be extremely involved and wonderful hosts, our stay was also wonderful but we did have a few hic-ups , it. seems the company in charge of supply and care of the unit was being changed so we did not receive proper responses to our requests. after we found out who the new manager was (John) he took care of everything, Thank you again John. we highly recommend a stay at the Treehouse at Hakalau. we will return."
