You will have the cabin all to yourself. There is a small apartment suite located 100 feet from the cabin that is also rented. You will share the parking lot with the small apt. There is plenty of parking.
Check-in smart lock code is sent 2 days before checkin date.
The cabin is located in a quiet residential area in tofte. The backyard borders the US National Forest.
As guests, you can enjoy full access to the entire property during your stay, including four cozy bedrooms, a full kitchen, a private sauna, and a spacious yard with a fire pit. We know that work can find you even when you are trying to get away, so stay connected while enjoying time off with solid WiFi from a fiber internet connection.
Free parking is available in the shared parking lot. A Tesla charger (Nema 14-50 plugin) is also available. If you’re traveling with a large group and would like to rent the neighboring 1-bedroom unit, please inquire about availability.

Your whole family will have plenty of room to spread out and get some privacy thanks to the home’s four spacious bedrooms. There are three spacious bedrooms with queen-sized beds and one bedroom with a bunk bed.
The primary bedroom features a queen-sized bed, a 50” flat-screen TV, and a private balcony with beautiful forest views. The second bedroom with a queen-sized bed is on the main level, while the third bedroom with a queen bed is on the lower level and also has a 50” flat-screen TV as well as a comfy chair to lounge in. There is also a bunk room with a twin-over-twin bunk bed, perfect for the kids in your group.
No matter where you lay your head, you can look forward to fresh linens, multiple pillow options, and individually controlled baseboard thermostats to keep your room at the perfect temperature.

There is one full bathroom conveniently located on each level of this three-level home, for a total of three full bathrooms.
The bathrooms on the main level and lower level both feature shower/tub combos so you can choose between a refreshing rinse or a luxurious soak after a long day on the slopes or nearby hiking trails. The upper-level bathroom has a shower. There’s no need to overpack - each bathroom is stocked with fresh towels and basic toiletries like body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.

The full kitchen has everything you’ll need to cook tasty meals for the whole family, and the open layout makes it easy to be a part of the conversations in the living room. Enjoy modern stainless steel appliances, sleek and spacious countertops, and the complimentary coffee bar we have set out for guests - mornings just got a whole lot better! Once it’s time to eat, you can pull up a seat at the kitchen counter (seating for two), or gather at the dining table (seating for six).

Turn on the stunning stone fireplace and enjoy the natural light flowing through the floor-to-ceiling windows in this area to create the perfect ambiance for your northern Minnesota getaway.
We understand that parents need their romantic time together, so we created the perfect small space with video games on the lower level to keep the kids busy. There are floor cushions, a flat-screen Smart TV, and an Xbox to keep the youngsters entertained for hours on end so you can enjoy some coveted grownup time alone.
☆☆ OUTSIDE SPACE ☆☆
Chances are you’re looking to spend plenty of time outdoors while visiting northern Minnesota, and there are plenty of great ways to get outside during all four seasons. The cabin features a large deck with plenty of seating, allowing for an easy afternoon, relaxing evening, or quiet morning. You can catch a sunset and sunrise view of the lake, and even see Madeline Island on a very clear day.
In 2023 we added a brand new cedar 7x8 wood-burning barrel sauna. This is a do-it-yourself sauna experience. We have logs, firestarters, towels, and a lantern for your use. The sauna is an awesome way to relax and recuperate after a day of hiking or skiing.
The chalet is very close to the great hikes such as Temperance River, Carlton Peak, Hidden Falls, and Cascade Falls. In the winter there are a plethora of activities to enjoy in this area, including ice fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing on the many nearby trails, downhill skiing at Lutsen Mountain, and snowmobiling. There is direct access to a trail for snowmobiling in the winter and hiking in the summer right from the property.
If you don’t feel like venturing out, then simply enjoy nature from the patio or a balcony with a cup of coffee from the local coffee shop or a glass of wine from a nearby winery. Of course, the private wood-burning sauna is sure to refresh sore muscles and rejuvenate you in no time. We offer firewood to burn in the firepit, and a gas grill to make a tasty meal to be enjoyed with family and friends outdoors.

We have Ring Doorbell and Driveway cameras that actively record audio and video. In addition, the house has a decibel monitor that does not record but monitors noise levels. There are no cameras inside the property.
