I'll start off by saying this condo is absolutely adorable, its decorated well, its comfortable and cozy and would be amazing if it weren't for the neighbors next door...its just a shame that they are ruining it. We rented this home for 7 nights so our daughter could attend a ski camp on Mt. Hood. We had early mornings - up at 4:45AM to get to the mountain by 6AM, hopeful to be asleep by 8:30PM each night so she had enough energy to train everyday. (She's 10, so still little). Our first night in the condo, we didn't get to sleep until after 1AM. The people living in unit 109 (next door) were screaming, partying, slamming doors, running up and down the stairs and hallway, pounding on things and blaring music. It was just awful. The next morning we found cigarette butts and french fries strewn all over the outside hallway and it smelled bad. I e-mailed the management company about everything the following day and they said they couldn't do anything about it because they didn't manage that unit. The next few days were more quiet (probably because they were all hung over), but still loud music until around 9 and they would smoke out on their balcony constantly, so we were not able to have our balcony windows open to let the cool breezes in because the smell would come straight into our condo. The noise, music, screaming and partying continued the last two nights we were there. I ended up going out into the hallway on the last night to ask them to turn down the music and they just ignored us, walked right past us and didn't even look at us when we tried to talk to them. My daughter was crying and it was anything but peaceful and relaxing. I contacted the management company again asking for a number for The Golden Poles Management and they had nothing to give me, and said I would need to call the local police - which, seemed excessive, so we had to deal with this awful partying yet again. Additionally, this unit is located next to a door to the outside and a gate that goes to the basement parking that is used constantly, the main bedroom is located on the end where the door is - its very loud when the gate and the door slam closed - so, even if the neighbors are quiet, you still have that door and gate to contend with. I'm sad to say that I will never ever rent this unit again (we come to Mt. Hood quite often too) unless the people in 109 have moved out. Its too bad because it really is a wonderful condo.
