"This property has a great location but doesn't mean that cleaniness should be sacrificed. This is an old building but it doesn't mean that the apartment shouldn't be up kept. The paint, the furniture, the sinks in the bathroom and kitchen, the toilet were all old and dirty. There was even a roach walking on the shower curtain. I've stayed at many small old apartments in many apartments but never like this one."

"The apartment needs serious updates if not a complete renovation. The microwave plug doesn’t reach the outlet. The kitchen cookware is rusty and bent. We found a dead roach in a tea cup. Black mold in the shower. The drawers in the bedroom were broken. A light bulb was missing and another one was burnt out. They left one toilet paper roll for a two week stay. They didn’t leave a single bar of soap. The towels were stained and they need to be replaced immediately. The mattress was in poor...

"Fantastic property for a family, with spacious layout and modern decor. The location is hard to beat, and the support team was extremely helpful and quick in communications both before and during our stay. I would highly recommend this property as an outstanding home base for those visiting Rio, and would absolutely stay again. "

"I rate this property as average because in all honesty, it's not shown as it really looks in real life, you'll be staying at the oldest building in the area, even though you're in the best area for beaches and restaurants, consider that you'll get what you're paying for. We had a misunderstanding with the check in so i recommend having your schedule well planned out. The kitchen didn't have enough tools for cooking and for a family of five, the pots and the frying pan were too small. Consider...

"Great location and the owner, Marcos, was attentive to our needs. My wife and I, and our adult son, had a great time. The space was comfortable and adequate for our needs. The only potential surprises for those coming from the U. S. is that there is no dryer to accompany the washer (you can hang up clothes to dry), and you pay for your electricity during your stay. For us, that was about 10-12 per day. "

"The unit was safe, quiet, and had a lot of things to do in the area. The 24 hour doorman/security staff was also very nice. Unfortunately, the unit was infested with cockroaches (many of all sizes every day throughout the entire stay, not just one here and there). Also several items were either broken (e.g., window shades) or very old (e.g., bedding). I mentioned the infestation issue to the rental staff on site , however based on the response I am not overly optimistic it will be resolved...
