(About an hour each direction) We liked the central location and enjoyed hikes, caves, the beach and other activities. The suggestions for restaurants and bakeries by our host were spot on. The host also handled our transfers which was very much appreciated."

"I cannot impress upon people how idillic this villa is. It is set near a very small village with peaceful, beautiful surroundings. The villa itself has all the amenities one would require, and the inside is is fabulous condition. There was a maid service twice a week and she did a marvelous job keeping the 5 star villa clean and today. Highly recommend this place for anyone planning a holiday to Crete. "

"We had a lovely stay at the villa. Great location close to bars and restaurants but far enough from the main town and set in a beautiful location with mountain and sea views and away from main road, so feels secluded and very calm and relaxing. Also it’s very near the stop for the ‘little train’ bus tour that goes to the nearby beaches. The pool area was fantastic, with a lovely shaded terrace. Great gas barbecue for meals outdoors. Plenty of nice comfy outdoor chairs, loungers etc....

If you want to visit a few places I would advise a car as the taxis can be a bit pricey.
