"We had a great stay at this cabin nestled in Smith Flat. Location was perfect for a day at Apple Hill, Placerville or Sly Park(Jenkinson Lake) The house is really cozy with plenty of room for a large family of three couples. Very beautiful surroundings with a wonderful deck above the garage. The stars are amazing at night. Only complaint was downstairs bathroom was alittle dirty upon arrival. Other than that, it is an awesome place to stay. Owners are quick to respond. Very professional "

"I stayed here with 2 of my adult children. We were just craving some time in nature to hang out, eat good food and be cozy. :) Nice clean cabin, thoughtfully appointed, a wood burning stove and lots of big trees gave us everything we wanted. We stopped at Apple hill and picked up a pie and browsed a little in Placerville. Lots of scenic places nearby but for this trip, we were just ccntent to chat by the fire and munch on charcuterie. "

"We really liked the gated dog area. It’s a very short walk to the river. Both dogs liked the swimming, Rosie batted around acorns, chewed on acorns, barked at the deer, she got car sick both directions going up and down the narrow windy road. Yes we would stay here again. "Everyone loved this location. The property is fantastic for families and large groups. The water situation is a huge bummer. We used bottled water for everything, including brushing our teeth. The owners are communicative and friendly. The dishes, utensils and cookware are cleaned and maintained by people renting like us, and they were all filthy. Just be prepared to bring multiple jugs of water and I recommend disposable plates, utensils etc. Its a shame bc the place is basically otherwise...
