Everything was wonderful. Both propane tanks were empty and I had to commit a cardinal sin and cook 2 tomahawk steaks on the stove. Other than that it was an awesome place to stay.

Halloween Time in the Smokies! 🎃👻
At first I was really ticked off about the view from the back decks as there are overgrown trees that block most of the view. However, a few mornings I watched 3 black bears playing in the yard, & I watched them climb those trees (makes me wonder if that’s why they have not trimmed them?) It was fun to watch the bears climb those trees & play, but don’t expect a view of anything else unless you go to the top deck over to the right side. There you’ll see a small view of the Smokies! As for the cabin itself – it was very nicely appointed with everything needed for cooking (including crockpot, cheese cutter, strainer, etc.). It was very clean on both levels of the house, and it’s been very well taken care of. This cabin is NOT handicap accessible; if you have a wheelchair, walk with a walker, or you’re unsteady on rocks or gravel, this is not the appropriate place to stay as the stairs to the front door are rocks/gravel steps instead of concrete and there are stairs inside. The cabin’s in a great location, easy access to Pigeon Forge as well as the Smokies – although you’re closer to the Smokies than to Pigeon Forge. It’s about a 35- 40 minute drive to Walmart or a bigger grocery store. The heat & AC worked perfectly, & it was wonderful to be able to get the free tickets that were included with the rental (we used them for Dollywood, Anakeesta, and a pirate show dinner). It was a great stay, & I’d stay again myself, and recommend to others!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin truly felt like home away from home. The decor was very beautiful and made things feel cozy. The little Christmas tree beside the fireplace was an unexpected pleasant surprise! The view was incredible! We loved seeing the Ober Gatlinburg tram go back-and-forth and it was so pretty lit up at night. The downstairs area was so spacious and a great place to hang out with family members and play pool. The bathroom in the main bedroom downstairs was unbelievable! The jetted tub was an awesome way to relax after a long day of walking, shopping, and sightseeing ! I Highly recommend this cabin, and I am already looking forward to our next visit! Also please note there are bears in the area. Keep your doors locked! We had muddy paw prints on our vehicle!

A Wonderful Get-Away!

The chalet is beautifully furnished, the sunrise views from the upper deck spectacular, the kitchen amply furnished for a wide variety of cooking, and the beds and baths pretty stunning. All was clean. Bear sightings are common. The curvy roads are daunting. We chose not to travel them in the dark. If you prepare most meals in the chalet, you can save a chunk of money by not eating in restaurants.

It was perfect! Everything about the cabin was top notch! Even better than the pictures! Saw lots of bears while we were there - so much fun! The Ober tram goes right over the house - but is so quiet. You never hear it. Great view of the mountains. You can see the lights of Gatlinburg at night. I would 100% stay here again. Bears, bears and more bears!
This is and awesome cabin! The pictures are accurate for how beautiful this home is. Our kids were so excited upon our arrival. There was plenty of room for the parents and teens to be separated. The kitchen is great. Plenty of room to cook and just hang out. The beds are really comfy, and it is always nice to have a king. We enjoyed waving to the people from the Ober tram as we were out on the deck. If you are looking to see bears this is the place for you. We saw 12 in the first 24 hours. Make sure to lock your car door and latch the trash bins. Bears make their rounds each day, and entered both of our cars within 2 hours of us being there. If the doors are locked you will be fine. This was our favorite cabin so far!

We even got to see a bear out on the road in front of the cabin. Literally the only negative thing I can say is the turn onto the road is a **** design. Not the owners fault at all but if your going to rent just remember your going to be driving in some steep mountains.

Great View, Easy Access to Town and Park

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We decided at the last minute to take a road trip to the Smoky Mountains for spring break. There were a lot of rental houses available given we were less than a week from check-in. We chose this one for the location and weren't disappointed. We had easy access to everywhere we wanted to be.The house has great views (if you are up early, the sunrise over the mountain is beautiful), the beds were comfy and my kids enjoyed having the downstairs space as their own hang out space. There are a couple of small downsides I feel I should mention. First, the towels need an upgrade. The ones provided were very small and very thin. Second, the house and the kitchen in particular needs a deep clean. Nothing terrible or anything we couldn't deal with, but you can tell its been a while since anyone really cleaned the space those forgotten spaces, like the utensil drawer in the kitchen. Overall we really enjoyed the stay and would recommend this place for its location, views and space for the teens to call their own.

November 2022 Stay
That view! Mountains, twinkling lights of Gatlinburg at night, the tram overhead—you just have to sit and take it all in. Plus, we saw several bears. It was fun watching them from the deck. The cabin was clean and comfortable with lovely rustic touches like live edge wood and a rock waterfall in the downstairs jetted tub. Bear Tracts was easy to work with and offered great communication. We will use them again, and hope to be back to Chalet A Le Conte!

Reviewer Comments: I have used your company before for rentals but was disappointed with this particular cabin. It was very dated, the toilet downstairs did not work, and the other bathroom downstairs had a bad smell coming from it. The hot tub outside had jets that did not work, and the others put out very little. Just overall disappointing with what I paid.
