The property was well enough; we had difficulty with the check in process. When I booked on Vrbo, I booked the front house, and all the check in information I received was for the front house. When we arrived, there was a family already inside the front house. I called in to the host, they loooked up my reservation and confirmed it was for the front house and they would have to call me back. They called me back, apologizing profusely and told me this never happens. They asked me if I was fine staying in the back house because it is pretty much the same space. After driving all day and arriving after sundown, I was in no position to argue and it really set the tone. My code wouldn't work on the back house front door, I called in, they reset and it still didnt work. We tried one last time then when that didn't work, they gave me the backup code, which seemed a little sketch to me because it wasn't a personal code. Upon entering the house, it is your typical old beach house, but one concern that is worth looking into, the walkway to get to the back house is overgrown and not the most friendly to luggage. A bit of plant management here would go a long way.
I will say it was absolutely wonderful having the host be responsive when we did have this issue arise and do all they could to remedy quickly. I have not had that same experience with Vacasa booking.
