"The house itself is beautiful but all around it is extremely badly taking care of. The yard is a mess, the grass high, and just next to some run down green houses. Some kind of a huge computer was making a terrible noise when we arrived, the owner allow us to turned it off thankfully. Could be a wonderful place to stay "

"Quel séjour formidable dans cette maison ancienne et familiale, perdue dans la montagne ! Cette maison est immense, traditionnelle, et surtout, chargée de 150 ans d'histoire. "This hotel has its own onsen and we loved it. We all were given traditional Japanese robes to wear throughout the hotel (in the dining room as well) and that was really nice. The staff were amazing and patient. "

"Staff were great, especially Yoko as she spoke English and was able to help with requests. One source of stress was having to pay in cash if you elect to pay at the accommodation. This should be made clear when booking. We would have happily paid by credit card in advance had it been made clear. No one from overseas carries that kind of cash. The ryokan should be encouraged to adjust their "rule" and take credit cards."
