Not very pleasant
We have so much problem with a code that was send and didn't work. Luckily we came before 6 Pm and employee from the winery , gave us their code, so we could enter. Tried to call property manager, but nobody picked up the phone. This is not acceptable, for the cost per night.

Nice but disappointing
Decided a day prior to drive to Fredericksburg, which is 1 hour from our home to just be somewhere else due to being confined to outings for health reason for past 4 months. We planned on visiting th market days there on Sunday morning. Since we were going to watch our college teams play on tv Saturday night anyhow, we just decided to stay there and watch the games there to get out. Unfortunately upon arrival we learn that tv is not available due to the lack of a remote control and they did not have another unit to move us to. We spent the night watching 2 games on an iPad which was no fun. I understand that things happen but when the very nice attendant came to help us, he mentioned that they were suppose to order a new one but it must have not gotten in yet, so apparently someone knew in advance. It was really the only requirement we had. They gentleman returned and offered us a bottle of wine but neither of us drink, so we respectively declined. Overall the place was nice and as described just bummed we had to try to make something work for 6 hours.

Wonderful property

Quick getaway
A few girlfriends and I wanted a quick getaway - we were really happy to find this place! The location was great and it was such a cute setup. I did ask for additional parking but never received a call back and aside from that it would’ve been nice to know that the winery was only based on appointments. Totally get that wasn’t all super important info - it just would’ve been nice to know. We really did love our stay though. And the pastries and bubbles were delicious!

Did not recipient the check in information until the second morning, fortunately we called VRBO and they were able to get us check in information that night. Cabins were nice lots of birds in the mornings and deer across the pond. Would stay here again.

A relaxing get away
My daughter & I stayed at the Paris cottage. The queen beds were comfortable & the bedroom spacious with access to a back patio looking out to natural wooded property. Both the front patio & back patio had comfortable table & chairs to enjoy your wine & visit. The bathroom was elegant with a walk in shower & high quality linens with bathrobes in the closet. There was a delicious pastry in a clear cake stand with a bottle of wine to enjoy when we got there. The refrigerator also had orange juice & water. We enjoyed a relaxing evening & felt refreshed.

Clean and comfy, amazing luxury bathroom , high bedroom ceilings. Everything in this small cottage is spot on! Also they leave for you a bottle of espumante and some amazing cinnamon bun. Can’t ask for more! Totally recommendable .

We stayed in the Paris Cottage! Spacious and comfortable. Decent value with good breakfast items. Patio seating in front and a deck area out back. Had deer and other wildlife meandering through the area. The cottage is set amongst three others. There was daily housekeeping. The large standup shower had good water pressure, as well.

Lovely!!
We LOVED our stay in the Paris cabin. The staff cleaning the cabin was so nice and let us check in an hour early and greeted us with a bottle of the winery's sparkling moscato! The cabin was equipped with small breakfast items, snacks, juice, milk, and local coffee! What they didn't mention is that you get complimentary wine tastings at the winery for staying in the cabin! Loved it here, and plan to stay again soon!

Very Nice and Convenient to Most Wineries
Overall a great deal. Was unhappy that a cork screw was not provided when my itinerary said a "bottle opener" would be. I understand these are different things but the cabin is behind a winery. We usually bring our own but assumed they would be plentiful in the kitchenette behind a winery. Messina Hof is one of the worst wineries in Fredericksburg but it is in a great location. I would stay again because you can't find anything at this price for what we got. The danish provided was delicious and the place came with a bottle of champagne. And the cabins couldn't be more private with all the comforts of home (except for a corkscrew). Decorations are as nice as the photos. Bring your own pillows unless you like to sleep on bags with a couple of feathers in them. I'm not trying to bring the place down because overall it was great, but bring pillows and a corkscrew and you'll love it!

Fantastic Getaway !
This was a trip celebrating my wife's birthday. The cabin was everything that it was advertised. The facilities were great as were the treats !! Great location, new, adorable cottage!
We loved staying at this cottage! There was a bottle of sparkling wine ready for us and a delicious German coffee cake as well! Bathroom was clean and spacious. Two queen beds were perfect and very comfortable. They also include a free tasting at Messina hoff for each person in the cottage. I will definitely stay again!!
