Needs cleaning up
The house is in an excellent location!! It could use some cleaning up of the front yard and porch. The toilet would have run constantly if I didn’t open it up and close the float every time we flushed it. Instructions on the tv would help too!! Overall it was really good.

Our Second Visit
This was our second stay here. The location is wonderful, however the home has really gone down hill in terms of maintenance. When we arrived, the key was not under the mat and we were left sitting on the porch. The owner happened to be on site and was very kind and found a key for us. The home was really in need of many repairs and was not clean. Sadly, I would not stay here again.

Great location!
This is our third time to stay at the Ainsley House and the location is fantastic. Over the years and multiple stays, the house has become slightly run down and needs some TLC. Overall the bed is clean and comfortable and everything downtown is easily walkable which is why we would stay here again.

Cute place, not ready 😕
I hate to give a “poor” review…the place is adorable and perfect location to walk to everything! The less than 5 stars is due to the fact that there was no key when we showed up in the evening, we had to call and wait, then a kind older gentleman and his faithful kitty showed up to tell us it would be an hour or so to clean. It threw off our plans for the one night we had away, but we made the most of it! The house is warm and cozy, bed is comfy, fireplace is a perfect touch! I enjoyed it, but think they could have done something to compensate for the lateness of availability.

Short walk from down town, and the hosts even left a firelog each night to use in the working fireplace. The stained glass windows and latches made us feel like we were in a historial home, while being right next to coffee shops, great restaurants and main street. 10/10.

Great Location
You must like houses with Character to stay here. Older home in a great location. Has everything you need and is walking distance to everything you want to do. Just a few doors from the historic jail house I am sure if houses could tallk it would tell you some stories.

Our Stay at the Ainsley House
The property is very run down, the yard is very overgrown, and needs a lot of maintenance. (Does not look like the picture on Vrbo) The inside of the house was fairly clean, but needs some updating. The bed, sheets, and pillows were terrible all old and did not smell nice. The coffee that was provided was old, as was the water in the fridge. The bathtub served as the shower which is fine but there was not safety mat in it and therefore it was very slippery.

Charming Cottage!
It was an excellent location. There is a really good restaurant behind the house called Hill and Vine. The house is well stocked with dishes and toiletries. I would stay there again.

This property is filthy. Needs to be entirely wiped down w soap and water. The sofa needs to be shampooed, the two back doors are Wooden rotten as well as the roof over the front porch. So We could not sit out side. Was a great location . I’m not a complainer but this property needs cleaning and an upgrade One plus AC worked great Jacque

Charming getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at this charming guest house. It was the perfect location for a romantic getaway together to relax and enjoy the wineries. This is a perfect location for waking to local restaurants and shopping in downtown.

Great stay
We were looking for a low-key place to stay with a lot of conveniences. The Ainsley House was perfect. The older rustic architecture reminded of both of us of being in Grandma's when we were kids and here we are as grandparents 🤯 The process was easy The property was perfectly located and we really enjoyed the house. We spent the majority of our time shopping visiting wineries and then settling in to a bottle of wine and a fire. I cannot have asked for a better weekend away from the chaos.

Not great!
This place was very dirty. Cockroaches and spiders inside. Sheets looked dirty, shower head was rusted and scum all over it. Fans didn’t work and it was hot. Very creepy on the inside. Left and got a hotel instead and was refunded for entire stay even though we didn’t stay a single night. Would not recommend to anyone.

For older couple with family in houses around the block perfect..
Really enjoyed our stay , perfect for us , private and intimate. will consider staying again only problem i have took a long time to ask me if i had a enjoyable good experience. go to fredricksburg 4-5 times a year
