"Nice Inn. Easy and not crowded "

"Brought family to Star Party at the observatory but turned bad,snowed,sleet,but the rooms were so nice and comfortable,we went sight seeing,,ate the restaurant across the street of yours, EXCELLENT food! Definitely will stay again!"

"This property was very deceptive. The outside is a little rough around the edges with some shaggy landscaping and weathered exterior. That all went away when we opened the door to our room. The monster sized tv with all kinds of channels available, beautiful new flooring, and awesome night stands with outlets and hookups for devices and charging. There was a slight issue with chords not being plugged into outlets that needs to be addressed. The breakfast area was small but clean and well stocked with tasty food. The mountain view behind the property is amazing but is not really utilized. The RV hookup area is trashy and there are picnic tables but they are placed on the edge of the parking lot and aren't very inviting. The property has access to great views of the sunrise but nothing is set up for guests to enjoy them. This property reflects what we saw in the community a lot of unrealized potential. As I say that I don't want it to end up like the Hill Country where everyday people get priced out of the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful natural beauty. "

"We came to Fort Davis for a weekend getaway to visit the area and McDonald Observatory. The property was as described and very comfortable. A broom would have been helpful to sweep up the tracked in dust from the yard. Another helpful thing would be either window shades or darker curtains. The sun shone in brightly through the kitchen and bedroom windows and I can see it raising the inside temperature in the summer due to that. The ac worked great and the house was very well supplied with the necessary items such as coffee, creamer and sugar as well as some basic cooking spices. Bed was very comfortable and the provided toiletries were nice. Very walkable to town. The lights from the nearby tennis court can be super bright if you’re trying to spend some time outside in the evening to enjoy the stars. "

"Beautiful cabin! Would highly recommend! The king sized beds in each bedroom with their own bathroom was very convenient. The beds were super comfy, the views were spectacular, and the cabin had everything we needed. Great mini-vacation! "

"Wonderful place to stay. Well stocked with all necessary things. Clean and well maintained property. Quiet and peaceful. Great Sunrise views from patio. Only 15 mins to McDonald observatory and within 30 mins to Davis mountain state park and historic site. Muffins provided by host are very delicious. We will highly recommend this place to all our friends and if we visit again, we will definitely book this again. "
