Family Reunion

Our family enjoyed staying here as we came from different states for a wedding. It allowed some of us to stay together and visit longer and the home was perfect for that. The amenities were generous and the home was very clean. It has everything you need for your stay. The location was peaceful and relaxing with beautiful grounds to walk around.

The house and surrounding grounds had plenty of space for our family get-together of 15. We loved the fire pit and outdoor seating area. The kitchen was well stocked and linens were plentiful. We had a nice relaxing weekend! Thanks!

Home Run

We came around the College World Series as a central location for our families to come together. The older cousins enjoyed the outdoor space and ping pong/pool table. The adults appreciated bar area and the fire pit. It was a great getaway from the downtown life of Omaha, and a wonderful location for a family get together.

Wonderful place to stay

We stayed at Dancing Bear Lodge for a weekend with our kids and grandkids. There were 12 of us. It's a clean, beautiful log cabin home, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The beds were comfortable and there were a good number of well stocked, roomy bathrooms. The kitchen had plenty of cookware, dinnerware and utensils for our use. There was a treehouse play area for the kids on the property and some hiking trails. It's about a half hour away from Omaha. Communication with the owner was good. We had no complaints. It's a great place for a larger group to stay.

The stay was great, the only 2 things that were disappointing was the pool cue didn’t have good tips on them so it made it really hard to play. We’re a pretty big pool playing group so it was disappointing. The only other thing was the master bedroom felt like it had no A/C, mad it almost impossible to sleep it was so hot. Woke up both mornings sweating. Other than that it was great.

Griswold Family Christmas 🎄

3rd yr in a row should say it all!! It's absolutely beautiful inside and out ♥️ and stocked with everything possible. Christmas in the cabin with my adult children and our 6 grandchildren is simply MAGICAL.......Christmas through the eyes of a child! ♥️ Mark, the owner is always a text away and responds immediately!! We reached out to Mark the owner in regards to a lost anniversary band and asked him to reach out to us if he found it not ever expecting to receive a call from him but we did! He was doing yard work and found the ring outside! He went above and beyond to help us locate the ring and we are soooo thankful for him! We have traveled from Dubai, UAE (United Arab Emirates) the last three yrs for Christmas to spend together at such a beautiful place! If it ever goes up for sale........WELL ♥️

Great family get-away

Super kitchen-two large ovens, more refrigerators than we needed, every utensil, pan, etc. anyone could need. Lots of lovely outdoor space, including deck space. Hiking trails very nice. Indoor spaces conducive to family gatherings. It would be helpful to have better directions as to where extra beds are. There were 12 of us and one couple had difficulty finding comfortable bed. We very much enjoyed our stay in the beautiful house and surroundings.

Great home for a family vacation

8 Adults and 5 children stayed over a long weekend. Everyone just loved this property. There is tons of room and lots to do. We enjoyed the basement rec room with a bar and ping pong and pool table. Nice outdoor areas to hang out. Make sure to climb the pathway to the top of the property for a gorgeous view with a great swing. Very easy check in, everything you could have possible needed to cook meals. We grilled and used the ovens (there are two ovens). You feel very secluded but are close to grocery and gas stations. We went to the Zoo and Drive through Safari in Omaha. Only about 30-40 minute drive to both. So we were able to enjoy all that Omaha had to offer but stayed away from all the big city craziness. Mark was quick to respond when I had a question. Thank you for opening your home up to us. We absolutely had a fantastic time!!!!

Christmas at the Lodge

Wonderful! We had two sons and families and a daughter with us. Even though we were inside most of the time, we had so much to do and explore. Coffee/Tea Station saved everyone as we snuggled, played games and toys, pool and pingpong, cards, and talked near the fire. The car track was a favorite for our 5 under 6. Loved the tree and decor. Had a super family time!!!!!

Beautiful country setting for Christmas!

What a great house for our family Christmas. The home was very comfortable with everything we needed for the long weekend. We especially enjoyed the Christmas tree and decorations inside and out. The kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes necessary for our Christmas feast. The pool table and outdoor fire pit were hits for evening fun. The hosts did an excellent job setting up the house with helpful notes and communications throughout our stay. Thank you for all the wonderful memories!

Time at Dancing Bear Lodge

We enjoy our stay very much and foud the property in great condition. It was rather warm the days we were there but the air conditioner kept up with the heat. The kitchen had everything we needed to fix and serve our meals. We spent lots of time outside on the Patios which were in excellent condition also.

Beautiful property and home! HIGHLY RECOMMMEND.

We had my daughters birthday party over a weekend stay, and it was PERFECT. We live in Omaha, but wanted to feel like we were "out of town", without a long drive. This property did not disappoint. Plenty of areas (inside and out) for EVERYONE to hang out, without ever having to be in the same place. TONS of space! And the ping-pong table, pool table, and karaoke machine were a hit with the kids. I really enjoyed the spacious property, areas to nature walk, the wildlife, the beautiful log cabin home, the decor, and the views from the decks in the morning/evening. (Coffee on the master bedroom deck in the morning was the BEST!) Everything inside and out is provided to help make your vacation/occasion experience worry free. It is really a fantastic property, and I would highly recommend!

Quick Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was much more neighborhood than I expected (not quite as secluded) and the home was much more lived in than I expected (meaning pantry and drawers filled with what seemed to be all personal items) so it felt a little awkward at first, like someone would be coming home any minute (as described by my teenagers). It was a beautiful space and a beautiful home and weather was unkind to us so we were pretty much left to only inside fun. Thank goodness for the ping pong and pool table! We got to teach our youngest to play and uncovered our oldest has possibly been moonlighting as a pool shark the past couple of years! Lol. Welcome instructions were easy to follow and contact with owner was a breeze, so responsiveness. Thank you!
