Wherever you’re coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you’ve prepared well enough. We’ve compiled a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Lowpoint escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, put in your passport, travel documents, bank cards and medications. Next, you’ll want some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a tablet filled with your favorite shows are some fantastic options. If you hope to catch a few z’s, a comfy neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you’ll step off the plane looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of restricted items can differ between air carriers, the general rule of thumb is avoid carrying anything flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes tools, metal cutlery, fuels and bleaching agents. Sporting equipment like ice skates, and objects that could harm passengers, such as pepper spray and firearms, can’t come on board with you either.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your airplane are not the best place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and take a sweater as it can get quite cool in the cabin. Enclosed, flat shoes are also a good choice.
- The condition by the name of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation. Doing leg and foot exercises in your seat is a great way to prevent this happening. Wearing a good pair of compression socks can also help.
