This chalet was tucked away in a quiet little area. You do have to take a narrow, dirt road to get there, so be prepared and drive cautiously. The outdoor area was very spacious with a pretty river in the back and a nice fire pit to sit by at night (you must purchase your own firewood, as it is not provided on-site, but we found some locally without much difficulty). I will say that the inside is very tight (“cozy”). We spent most of our time outdoors and visiting the cities any way, so the cabin was a nice little place to rest our heads at the end of the day. There is no functioning washer/dryer so you must be prepared to take your laundry off-site if you need to wash anything. I was a little disappointed with the overall cleanliness/appearance inside (drapes looked to be a bit dirty, as well as the bedding, but luckily we did bring our own blankets to use). The floors did not seem to have been cleaned very well (found sticky spots of something all over the floor in the kitchen area), so I actually had to do a bit of cleaning up in order to feel more comfortable in the space. Overall, we had a nice experience there and enjoyed our time in North Carolina.
