"Great place to be "

"Excellent resort. Our villa (on stilts) was quiet, had all the expected amenities and more, and overlooked the lake, although the boardwalk did have a significant people drifting passed, particularly to the restaurant. Food excellent; staff very helpful. Wine expensive. Was given a villa to stay after check-out before a late airport departure, very much appreciated. 2 minor concerns: our villa was always cleaned late (after 2pm) which meant we had to wait before going back there after lunch. The food service on the anniversary night was random (very fast then very slow, then no bill!). Other nights it was fine. Overall very pleasant stay and thoroughly enjoyable."

"Overall a fantastic stay for my 30th birthday! The staff are all so helpful and attentive. What we loved: Staff gave me a birthday cake surprise at dinner - thank you so much Sayid. The house keeping also decorated my bed with a happy birthday message which was so lovely. Staff were also friendly, attentive that they made sure I was comfortable as I was also pregnant. The dolce vita restaurant was delicious - thanks Kenny for serving us! Our room was comfortable, spacious and very quiet so we couldn’t hear other guests. The food at the buffet was delicious and I liked the variety. You can book a taxi from the hotel. The beach is lovely and clean and on a hot day it’s beautiful to relax there. Lots of activities at the hotel and excursions from hotel available. I also used the spa facilities and enjoyed a massage and facial. What could be improved: East of the island can be very windy and we went during the winter season and the pool was cold so maybe the hotel could add some heating to the pool. At breakfast first few days there was decafe coffee but then none so for pregnant guests etc. please ensure decafe tea and coffee is available. Also sometimes at breakfast had to wait a long time before you get tea or coffee served. At checkout the porter said it would be few mins to come get our bags from the room (we called at 11:45am) but only came after 1 hour to with the bags which was stressful as taxi to the airport was waiting so have separate checkout & checkin porter! "
