Edgewater is nestled hillside next to water, it’s the lakeside family retreat you've been looking for. We’re located less than 8 mi from HW 69 and Texanna Rd and 9 mi from I40. No more than two hours from OKC or Tulsa. All the views and fun you’ve been hoping for! Edgewater has the family in mind. Sleeps 12 has two living rooms, a game room, a tackle/mud room, a fire pit, and outdoor dining. Not to forget the fantastic views from the elevated deck. All just feet from the water.
The boat slip is a short walk down the path directly in front of the house, and a large, soft, sandy beach is less than a block away. Both are sure to keep the family entertained and happy. Depending on the water level, we have a sandy, clean beach by the dock.
A full kitchen with a dishwasher an electric stove, and of course a coffee pot. A Hot dog maker and crockpot will provide some of the desired items to feed a big group. Use the large 5-burner gas grill outside on the deck for some of the best views an outdoor chef could ask for.
Edgewater has an open-concept family setting. A 55” Smart TV is in the main living room, and a 42" is in the second living room. 1 Gigabyte fiber internet and Wi-Fi throughout the house. The bunk room has four full beds and a 32" TV. But the striking lake views from every window will have you gazing in no time!
The wood deck wraps the home and boasts epic views of the cove from 20 feet off the ground and more than 60 feet above the water. Multiple lounging or seating areas, all with great views on the 30 X 40 main deck. Hanging chairs and rockers, even a picnic table for outdoor dinners or game nights! 4 Person hot tub, and fire pit, with seasonal outdoorTV. Hot tub is generally closed in the summer. Please inquire about summer availability.
The dock is just a short 100-foot walk down the path from the house—fishing and boating to your heart's content. Catfish, crappie, and bass were all caught from the dock. The boat slip is 12x20, so it can easily accommodate average-sized boats. Or tie up or larger boat on our side of the dock. Or bring two boats!
Bring your side-by-side, golf cart, or bike, or enjoy walking the backroads and trails; nothing beats sunset beach walks at Edgewater. The Corps has a UTV course by the dam. About a 15-20 minute drive.
The famous “Cut” is less than a 10-minute boat ride, and Eufaula Cove is less than 7 miles away on the water. The dam cliffs are less than a 5-minute boat ride. Suppose you’re daring enough to take the plunge. Several local boat ramps make dropping your boat easy. We can provide maps if needed.
Edgewater has parking for 7 vehicles, plenty for your big family or group. Get ready for some pop-a-shot basketball family fun in the Edgewater game room: cup games, ring toss, and even a card table for more game night fun.
The downstairs living room has a small dorm fridge and mini-bar for easy drink access!
Edgewater has a kayak, paddle boat, and a small two-person bass boat with a trolling motor for guests to enjoy. Get on the water for fun or fishing, even if you don’t have your own boat.
The Walmart in Checotah has grocery pick-up; order ahead the night before and swoop by to grab your lake items. It's fast and on the way if you’re coming from OKC or Tulsa! Two local Dollar Generals are less than 7 mi away, so extras are nearby.
Edgewater is close to several fun outings. Drive to Eufaula and enjoy the local shopping and entertainment. Eufaula Cove hosts many festivals and other family-filled options. The Texanna flea market has shops with fun and unique items to fulfill your inner garage sailor.
Nightlife, do you still have energy to burn? The good news, several bars/ clubs are nearby. The Inside Out Bar boasts a dance floor, stage, and live bands in season. The gorilla head bar towards HW 69 is always filled with lake-goers and good music. Several bars and restaurants in Eufaula are sure to have something for everyone.
If fishing is your game, a great tackle store nearby has everything you need. The Rusty Hook. Even help from local fishermen will guide you on what bait is hitting and where the best fishing holes are.
Edgewater has something for everyone.
Just so you know, Edgewater uses security cameras for security and safety. NO cameras are indoors. They only monitor the driveways, house exits, the deck railing, and the dock. You will have access to view all cameras while you’re visiting. No audio is recorded. HDMI 1 in the main living displays all security cameras.
Edgewater also has a central Google smart hub. It manages all upstairs common lighting and all AC units in the home. Plus, it will play your music while cooking… say “Hey, google, play some Tom Petty,” or “Hey, google, turn on the kitchen light. “
