Loved the barndominium!
My 2 boys and I had a wonderful stay at the barndominium! They got a kick outta the name right away. The location was perfect, not too far from Gaylord for your needs but remote and tucked away for a very peaceful stay. We love going to Boyne and snowboarding and then coming back to tranquility. The place itself is STUNNING! So beautifully decorated; Im stealing so many design tips! The property is vast and my boys and i went on a lovely hike in the morning on the extensive trails. The chicken coop was so cute and the farm fresh eggs were such a wonderful touch. Brought em home and cooked em up, delicious!! I would LOVE to stay here again!!

Wedding retreat
There are a bunch of cute little features that made me wish we were able to spend more time there. Would be a great place to hang out away from home.

Cozy, lovely getaway
I stumbled across the "barndominium" on VRBO when looking for a quick getaway, and I was so glad I did. It was a totally unique place to stay; the decor is gorgeous and eclectic (unlike most of the standard condos & homes available in this area) and yet totally comfortable. A lot of love and artistry went into the barndominium and the property as well. It was very private and peaceful, and we will definitely be back! (As an FYI, there was a TV there when we stayed.)

Peaceful getaway
The property is beautiful and quiet, and everything in the barn was perfect! It was well thought out and very comfortable. The fresh eggs were a fun bonus. We had a great time, much too short.

Beautiful!
This location was my idea of heaven. A view of a meadow, and the forest beyond, lots of privacy, and tall trees all around. The Barndominium is charming and well-appointed, and the bed was comfortable. I only wish we could have stayed longer, since we barely got a chance to enjoy the space because we were out enjoying the area!

Great Get Away
We found this property as a last minute get away. The barndominium is is very comfortable and quiet and a great place to crash after a long day of biking and hiking. It is out in the country but it is well worth it for the peaceful setting. About 15 to 20 minutes to Boyne City and 30 minutes to Petoskey. Emily is a great host and we will likely stay here again in the future.

Beautiful rural location
Beautiful property! The rental is above the owners’ workspace garage, and the main bedroom overlooks the hosts’ home. We prefer more seclusion, but did not have any problems with privacy. Emily was highly responsive whenever we sent a message. We enjoyed walking the trails after arriving, and found plenty to do nearby. A few things to know: There is a lot of storage space. The back deck is private and overlooks the spacious property. Bathroom has radiant heat in tile floor. Water pressure was low in sinks, but shower was fine. There is a spa whirlpool in the listing, but there wasn’t one available. Great variety of kitchen appliances are tucked into cabinets; there is a toaster oven, microwave, and electric griddle, but no oven with stovetop. Looks like wall space for TV but not one available when we stayed. Overall really nice, comfortable space; we had a great time!
