"We spent the holidays here with 2 teens obsessed with fishing. The dock was perfect. The open nature of the house was great -the listing is very accurate. Our weather was not great but what a lightening show across the lake! We cooked at home several nights. NOLA was close enough to go in for a game or to explore. We really liked the location and would stay in this area again. "

"Beautiful home on the water. Beautiful sunrise over the water, Abundant wildlife with a variety of birds right below the deck in the water. The house was spotless and everything worked. The huge shower and spa tub is a plus after a long day of travel. Less than an hour to the French quarter but nicely away from the bustle of the city. Nice place we will rent again if in the area. "

"What a great oasis—this was the perfect place for our adult family of five to get away from our busy lives. The outdoor spaces are comfortable and there was plenty of things to do without leaving the property. Excellent restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive meant we only went into the city once. Rick is a perfect host, communicating regularly and responding quickly. We would stay here again!"

"The house is in a nice location, best dir crabbing. Bottom level is old but we don’t really care because we don’t even use it. Inside the house is spacious for our needs, just need some dusting on ceiling fans and restroom vent fans. Mattress needs to be replaced bc it stumped in the middle. Other than that, we enjoy the house. My kids enjoy the bunk beds. Master bedroom is huge. The freezer is huge, exactly what we want it. Overall, 5 star"

After booking our stay at "Golden Flake" in the Plum Orchard section of East New Orleans, we were contacted by the property manager with all of the pertinent information we would need for our stay. "This was a beautiful property. Everything was extremely clean and the home was stocked well with things one might need. There were fishing rods and even bait which my teens enjoyed using from the end of the dock. After busy days, exploring New Orleans and walking the city it was wonderful to come back to a quiet place and sit on the dock or even the porch. It is truly a getaway but because of that, it is drive to get just about anywhere. Great stay and fantastic communication. "

"Its location is great. You have many thing to do in the local area and New Orleans is just down the road. It is very spacious. Below is why I rated 4 star CONS: This place does not have an oven just stove top. Make sure to call your host 5 days in advance and have all moth balls removed. We all got headaches the first day and was removing bags of moth balls. We got most out and were to tolerate the smell our last two days"

"So Ms. Williams communicated with me through the entire process! She ensured whatever request that was in her power was met! Home was beautiful with tons of space!!! There’s a patio that we enjoyed in the morning and night! The master suite was just beautiful! We enjoyed the house and look forward to doing business with Ms. Williams again! " 15 min before we arrived after traveling 15hrs to get there, I see they sent me a bill for an extra $2,000 above what I’ve already paid. It ends up that they think they should have charged more since TSwift was in town. If that was the case I would have booked in the French Quarter for cheaper than they were now trying to bill me. "Although my family was visiting LA to bury my child, my experience in this home was a breath of fresh air. This home was Amazing and EXACTLY as listed. The owner was soooo attentive and accommodating. The house was equipped with all the essentials a family would need. I would definitely recommend this home for family travel. "
