The issues I had with this property had nothing to do with the actual house or the actual owner. The house, neighborhood and location was ideal for my needs spending time working in AK. The blackout curtains kept the bedroom dark during the summer solstice. The house was clean and well equipped except for a small 24-27 inch TV in the main room, but that was an insignificant complaint.
My bigger complaint was that I texted issues on several occasions and Vacasa was very slow to reply. One of the issues was a potentially serious issue and it took days to respond. The electronic lock to the house had a low battery. A rep responded after several days with the advice to search the house for batteries and change it myself. I didn't know what type of batteries were needed, didn't have a screwdriver (the house had no tools) with me, and wasn't sure if I replaced the battery whether the entry code would reset....plus the small detail that it isn't my responsibility. It was only after another unanswered text when the battery was "critically low" that I contacted the actual owner through the house's ring camera that a Vacasa rep called me within 10 minutes and the issue was resolved the following day. Vacasa finally answered my second text 5 days later saying that it looks like I have already checked out and they assume the problem was resolved
An unrelated text earlier in my stay about a delivered package that I brought into the house for safekeeping was never returned...
