"Stayed here to celebrate my 40th birthday with friends and family. Laurie was extremely helpful and communicative when I was trying to figure out all the logistics. She was easy going and incredibly responsive. The house is beautiful and the views we had on the deck and the lawn looking out at the fall foliage were unreal. My friends want me to turn 40 every year so we can stay at this house. "

"Our family really enjoyed our stay at this farm house. Everything was clean and the property manager was very helpful. Having all the animals was a big plus. Mattresses were very confortable. The property is absolutely beautiful and it offers many amenities. We will definitely be back for our next ski trip."

"Great quiet location for the family to get together. Plenty of space for everyone. We were able to get my son inside with his power wheelchair using a portable ramp to the porch and another up the door lip. Plenty of space to drive chair indoors. Need to be careful with the steps on the back deck, but half of the deck is accessible from the great room. Host was very attentive and look forward to staying again. "Booked this for my bachelorette party as a getaway retreat style vacation for myself and 5 friends. The gathering spaces were perfect and the pool and hot tub were so nice to have. Beautiful view out the back door and even watch a doe and lamb hang out multiple days. It was very relaxing to be here. Please note that getting Ubers and taxis are challenging in this area if you plan to go to Hudson or other locations, we somehow did it, but it wasn’t easy! Otherwise, it’s a great place to gather...

We had a chance to check out the historic John Burroughs site (what a view!) and bought fresh farm produce and meats at a nearby D & D Farm. "The pictures do not do this home justice. The house is just beautiful, roomy, and plenty of beds and rooms. Everything in the home is clean, fairly new, well stocked, and working well. Strangely enough there is no microwaves but that didn't effect us at all because we had a professional cook with our group. There was nothing we needed in the home that we had to go get. "We really enjoyed our stay in Hunter. The house met our needs well for a large family gathering. The hot tub and game room were excellent. Beutiful inside.It is close to shopping and hiking trails in the area. We did a lot of cooking and could have used larger cutting boards and baking/roasting pans. Be aware that the house is right on the main road into Hunter. The pinball machine was frustrating at times because the ball would get stuck.Overall it was a great stay."
